We usually don't answer. Tonight we did and they just stayed on the line saying nothing until I finally hung up. So glad I googled the number thanks.

I just moved to the area. At first I got a few calls asking me about alarm systems and then Chimney services. So they first call about alarm systems and then try to schedule chimney services. Many elderly don't use computers as much as we do so I hope that these people will be caught before too many trusting people schedule a service. We do have an alarm and a very good watchdog :) Keep the posts coming, they will be caught very soon.

We just got a call to this afternoon.  Same number and then they hung up when I answered. We live in Boston.  Sketchy!

same here, Received 2 calls in one day.  When I answered there was nobody there.  Called back the number and said the google voice subscriber was unavailable. Pain in the @#$!

Just received a call from this number (second call in about a week). Answered and said hello twice, then hung up. We are in boston as well.

We have received sketchy sounding phone calls from a "Chimney Sweep" in the past but didn't check the number.

These calls make me really furious.  Some absolute jerk & friends.

I answered, they said they were calling to schedule a time to "clean the burners"- I said "what?" and the lady said "do you know what those are? they are required to be cleaned every 18 months." I asked if we had called them and she said "no, we're calling you." I said "Like a service?" and she said "what difference does it make?" or something and then she hung up...

I just got two calls from this number in the past two days, which I didn't answer, but I live in Cambridge which is not in the usual area.  Anyway they're welcome to come and meet my my extremely fear-aggressive dog who doesn't even let friendly people in the house.

These jerks have called many times. When I finally answered I was abrupt and he, indian accent, told me "f you. This is harrassement and AG in Ma. should be notified.

Got a call at 7:00pish earlier tonight with this guy saying that he was from "the chimney sweeping company" and asked if I was the homeowner. There was a lot of noise in the background, what sounded like a woman talking. I responded that I was not the homeowner but I would gladly tell the owner to call, to which he said "yea" and hung up. I tried to call back but got the googlevoice thing. I'm so glad I have a home security system.

I have received 4 calls from this number already this week. It seems like you think you've resolved unwanted telemarketer calls then someone else decides to find a way to annoy you. They don't leave a message and the caller is 'unknown'. I'm glad to see so many others reporting this.

I noticed someone asking if this was just in the So.Shore that residents were receiving these calls, please rest assured it's not. I too am calling the Attorney General's office and the police.

We've been getting one or two calls a day from this number for the last week.  If I pick up, they just hang up.  If I don't pick up, they don't leave a message.

2nd call in 2 days--I picked up and yelled "OFF THE LINE!" and hung up.

I've been getting multiple calls a day from this number.  Usually they hang up when I answer, this time the woman said she was from Energy  Savers, wanting to clean my chimney flue.  I asked if they used the  Do Not Call list & she hung up.

I reported them, everyone should report them & maybe they'll have to stop.

They call repeatedly and hang up.  This time I called back and got the "phone disconnected" message (I'm not sure how that can be).  Clearly this phone should get disconnected.

I received a call from this number too and they hung up when I kept asking who was calling.

They are calling and are hanging up. When prompted to me from my wife, they hang up.  I think they are looking to rob houses. Please look into this and notify the proper authorities.

Just got the 7th call for the week, gets really annoying that no one answers. Who do I contact to stop these calls to my home phone and who should I report it to?
