these people keep calling my elderly parents and hanging up when they answer.  we reported it to the police today and to the telephone carrier.  if anyone knows who they are or how to get in touch with them, please post.

Same here, just got a call as of today 2/9/11 ... we are in the 495 belt, Milford area ... calling out here too.  My phone has the ability to block unwanted phone numbers ...  guess what they are now?  BLOCKED!

just got a call from this number. let answering machine take call and I heard a male say "got the answering machine again"

I spoke with someone at the Attorney General's office and they are looking into it.

2/9/11 - 8 PM - got a call saying 'what day do you want us there, Monday, etc etc...' for chimney cleaning.... We dont use anyone, so it's a scam, obviously... $80 they said  - half price.... Just hang up... Its a scam, for sure.... or bad business..

They make it seem like you have to schedule the appt... obviously, you dont.

I just got a call here in Franklin MA, seems like they are moving around to new territory.  I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

This number has called 2 times and also come up as out of area 3 times. They called 3 times yesterday and said they were a chimney cleaning company. When I said I wasnt interested they threatened that the fire marshall would be  showing up in 5 minutes. the next two times. I told them that they already called and threatened me and then immediately hung up. I dont get a very good feeling about this. I am also on do not call registry and unlisted, unpublished..

They called a few times yesterday but didn't say a thing when I answered/when the machine picked up.  They called twice today and I called back to leave a message.  Minutes later a call came from an unknown number and a man asked for me by my last name before hanging up.

Keeps calling and when I answer no one is there or they keep hanging up.

I'm also on a "Do Not Call" list but was informed by one of the many unwanted phone calls I receive that this only applies to someone trying to sell something.  It does not include surveys or anything else.  Its very annoying.

So just tell them to hold on a moment while you get your calendar and put the phone down.  Don't go back to it until they have hung up.

Just listend to my voicemail and it was a girl who was calling but there was a guys voice in the background yelling"knucklehead ill show you knucklehead ill bash your head in" and the girl on the phone was laughing saying calm down and you could tell there was another girl in the background with the man trying to settle him down.  

This is very weird.....

We got 2 calls in Weymouth yesterday. Just hung up. But annoying.

We got three call yesterday 2/14/11 we answered and there was no response on the line. We are in Weymouth too

Called twice tonight and they hung up both times when I answered. Normally I wouldn't pick up.  Caller ID says Swansea.  Most people screen their calls, so if they're thinking nobody is home because nobody answers,  they're in for lots of surprises at lots of houses..

perhaps you could let us all in on this info?  we also prefer not to be robbed :)  they call me constantly

Also just got a call from this #. If they are casing houses (as some people suspect)...This retired PD guy would like to introduce them to his friends Smith & Wesson. I also don't answer calls from unknown #s
