Got a missed call from 512-229-0300 (id said Elgin, TX) so I called it back and a man answered the phone like this: 'Yes, did you get a missed call?'. Odd way to answer a phone so I hung up.

Showed up on CID as Texas Call.  I was busy and didn't pick up and no message was left.  I'm getting so sick of all these calls that I'm seriously thinking of getting rid of my phone.  90% of the calls on my home phone are scam or other annoying calls.  I feel like I'm paying for these idiots to call me.

And what do those numbers have to do with this one?

They have moved on to a mortgage scam. I said to a lady I was on my way to their office to tear her head off and [***] down her neck

Just received a call from 512-229-0300 with an offer to extend the warranty on a car I no longer own. I asked the caller to explain what business relationship we had shared in the past that would permit them to solicit me by phone. The caller hung up.

had any work done on your car lately?  somehow, someway these scammers retrieve information and they are relentless.  If you are not contacted by landline, they try cell phone.  It is definitely a car warranty scam and the Attorney General's office told me to hang up and say nothing.  They use a number until they are identified, and then begin with a new number.
They never identify themselves, instead they start a conversation about the bogus warranty.

They call and do not leave a message, when I call back it says that the call cannot go through at this time.

Received a call to my cell - showed it was from TX. Didn't know the number, so sent it to voicemail. No voicemail left. Thanks for the head's up - I just added it to my reject list in case they try to call back.

Junk call

I have been receiving a call from this number but no one will say anything.  Then it disconnects if i try to call the number back i get a busy signa.

They offered me an extended warranty on my vehicle.  When they asked what kind of car I owned I told them I'm Amish & drive the horse & buggy I inherited from my father in 1963.  I don't think they got it, kept asking questions like how many miles I had on the car.  Like she was reading from a script.  Silly people!

That was the perfect answer!!! I may use that the next time they call

Called regarding a Ford that I haven't owned in three years.  They have called repeatedly and asked to be removed from this list SEVERAL times.  I never am and I continue to block the number, which keeps changing btw.  This last time I threatened legal action and told them I would be reporting the call...

I told them I no longer own the car (which I still do) and they assured me no more calls.
