Do a search on call blocking devices and phones.If its a cell phone, there are free call blocking apps out there including trac & straight talk.

I am on the do not call list.  Why are these people calling my cell???

Called left no message, great work by everyone else digging up "who" it is. You have to elder how many people they do scam (whatever they are trying to scam) must be enough to keep harassing those who know better.

Call allegedly from this number blocked by the app on my cell phone since the calling# is not in my contact list.

Unsolicited call. I am on the national Do Not Call List, and have been on it for over a year. NO excuses.

Called my work cell during working hours.  Didn't recognize and didn't answer.  No message left.

These people don't care about the DNC list.  Their numbers can change daily and are often out of the country, just trying to find one person who will give personal info to drain their bank account/CC's, identity theft, verify your # is valid to sell to someone else, etc - which happens or they wouldn't waste their time with any calls.

Picked up the phone to hear "Attention, this is not a scam call, it was referenced by your friend or family member. You're eligible for a free online security system..." and I hang up. No one authorized to use my number for any sort of the reference. True scam, and I'm on Do Not Call list. I try to answer all unknown incoming calls and then drop it, because I'm not feeling comfortable for scammers to reach my voice mail and learn further who I am from the recorded message.

Each time a catty friend of my apartment neighbor stops by, I get a call from this bunch.  Cat callers.
