Here in my care I have cancer patients who are fitted with breathing tubes as well as feeding tubes thru holes made in their throats. It is a hard life for me to take care of them but you can imagine what kind of toture it is for these poor souls. I can only pray for them and offer them whatever comfort I can.

If you don't want to spend the final years of your life with breathing tubes sticking out of holes in your throat or accompanied by feeding tubes as well, take action now, all smokers ! ! !.
    1. Throw out your cigarettes now. Don't put them aside gently. Throw them with full force in the direction of the nearest garbage dump.
    2. Throw out all cigarette packs in your car or your office desk.
    3. Clean out your home ashtrays and your car ashtray.
    4. Declare to yourself that you are " ME THE CONQUEROR OF  ADDICTION, THE CHAMPION OF MY OWN LIFE".
    5. Go on to Google, enter " Quit Smoking Programs".
    6. Go to www.tobaccofree.com/quitlinks.htm
    7. Select a quit-smoking program that you can follow, in consultation with your doctor.
    8. DO IT. DO IT. Don't be a slave of addiction, be the master of your life.

I did it 12 years ago, after 40 years of smoking. YOU CAN TOO..

yef on Jun.8 actually came up with a great new business idea for MRSI-- A Sugar Panel in addition to their existing Smokers Panel. The Sugar Panel would be set up to earn commissions for MRSI from companies dealing with all kinds of snacks and goodies high in sugar. Let's say, at 9:00pm a Diabetic panel member takes his Blood Sugar reading with a glucose meter & notes it down, then eats half a pound of candy or chocolate or glazed donuts of a given brand, and goes to bed for the night. At say 6:00am next morning, this diabetic panel member takes his Blood Glucose reading again and compares it with last night's reading, thereby noting the spike in his Blood Sugar. This can be used with various high-sugar foods & candies to rate the products and compare along with the taste, flavor, etc. Occasionally if there happens to be an overdose of sugar, and the panel member has to call 911 and be rushed to hospital, MRSI could pick up cost of the Ambulance Service on a contract with wholesale discounts etc. This kind of Panel in conjunction with the existing Smokers Panel would make MRSI a company of great repute in the world of medical research, trauma, emergency medical service evaluation, etc to the great benefit of our society.

Love it!  Imagine the increased cash flow for the diabetic smokers out there -- getting paid cash to smoke and eat crap, and getting free cigarettes and candy.  That is, until they meet an early death.  It's a dream,or a nightmare, depending on your perspective ;-)!

Breathing tubes & feeding tubes are one part of the game, but nowadays in the news is Lung Transplants. MRSI should create a special fund for Lung Transplants for all those who are members of MRSI's Smokers Panel, paid into by the profits that MRSI receives from the companies who get the results of MRSI's Smoking Survey activities. MRSI should maintain a Lung Transplant Priority List and have a quota of the Organ Transplantation services in readiness for the anticipated needs of participation in the MRSI Smokers Panel.
Every member of MRSI's Smokers Panel should prepare for the upcoming event by going to:-

I tried to get my # on their donotcall list as they say to do over phone. My computer tells me that is not A # that   can be called. I do know some people know how to put ANY number to show up on your phone NOT their REAL #.
The # I tried to call is 5131-562-1300
Evidently these people have no compassion for other people as they ply their trade.  Elderly people often must get up ( risk falling) to get to a  phone only to find it is this bunch! They are a nuisance, invasion of one's privacy.
No way will I help them "make a living" through harrassing others.

The people making these unsolicited phone calls from MRSI's infamous Call Center, including their highly-titled "Director of Call Center Operations", are obviously mini-brained and incompetent for any job other than their Call Center. How about if the Call Center be a "Call-Girl Center" from where they could ply the more profitable "oldest profession in the world"? That would relieve the people they are bothering currently, the senior citizens, disabled people in wheelchairs, people under medication who need rest & can't be bothered, high-blood pressure suffers and the like. Besides that, they are doing the unforgivable --- operating their Smokers Panel which encourages people to continue smoking and increase the risk of getting lung cancer, throat cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or emphysema . If these Call Center Girls or "Call-Girls" as they should be rightfully called, can't find jobs at phone desks, why don't they take honest jobs like cleaning toilets in hotels in Cincinnati, as someone previously suggested in a posting here, or get even an entrance job shovelling pig manure in the pig-farms in next-door Iowa where has an abundance of pig-farms? that would be better than the morally decadent job of running a Smokers Panel and inducing people to continue smoking at the peril of their lungs and throats.
