Call received on 6/17/14 at 10:57 a.m.   The call was intercepted by my Sentry Call Blocker, which will automatically
block robocalls by issuing instructions that a robocall cannot handle.  For voice calls, they can be blocked after the
first call by blacklisting them.   Sentry is capable of blocking up to 9,999 numbers.   Check it out on Amazon.com .

I do not answer calls from these types of numbers

I have callcentric. I can block an unlimited number of phone numbers. I can also block anonymous calls or make callers not in my phone book press a predefined digit to complete their call. This last feature does a great job of foiling telemarketers since robodialers can't press 'n' to complete the call. Also boiler room phones often have no dial pad, so the live caller can't complete the call.

It took awhile to build up the list of telremarketer numbers that return a 'number disconnected' message, but it's starting to pay off now that they're starting to recycle their robodialers for another round. I can't wait until election season to see all the blocked calls that will show up in my logs :D

These guys called a few months back, and my logs showed they tried to call today. I put the number in my 'telemarketer' phone book. Any number in that book that calls my numbers receives a 'number not in service' tone and message. Any other caller that's not in my 'general' phone book has to press a number to complete the call. That pretty much foils autodialers and boiler room program callers where the operators' phones don't have keypads.

Just got one, but have # blocked.  Name appears as Vincent P Hauck on our caller ID. Hate theses calls!!!!!!!!!

good for you, they have been calling me under different phone numbers for several years, I don't understand why the government can't stop this b.s.; sometimes I pick up the phone to answer and then hang up when 800 numbers called; the census bureau and CDC  were attempting to force me into submission by answering their questions,  for a survey,  I could have told the idiots anything

So sick of these telemarketers.  I am on the do not call list.

The criminals also use 516 220 1234 and various other numbers.

Just ignore the calls and block. The sooner people stop falling for telemarketing scams the sooner these calls will stop.

I have been preaching the same thing right along......I would not answer one of these calls under pain of death.
Like you, I keep telling these people DO NOT ANSWER THESE [***]  whether yourself or a device and that even includes a fax machine.   Soon as you or any device answers your dead in the water you just kissed your peace goodby
If I get it at home or off my caller ID, I come here to see what their major malajustment  is all about. And if they happen to make the fatal mistake of making a 2nd call they get blocked .   Phones that don't answer they assume are dead lines.....remember there not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Already blocked this number with my Call Blocker. They called tonight, and it hung up on them. I love this thing!!!

Detest these calls that play a loud dial tone if you do not answer

Callus from Medical alert so I don't answer this or any other caller I don't recognize. Simple and effective.

I get these calls all the time and I am on AT&T, so I don't think that it has anything to do with switching to Comcast. I am so sick of them!
