I look to see who's calling & then make the decision whether to pick-up or not.
I use my delete button regularly...lol

I am on "Do Not Call" and need their services.  It is a recording and you can't talk to a real person; if you do, they hung up and call again.................................Any help stopping these fools are great!!

I *67 and called back this Verizon Wireless number that is disconnected, that was a recording saying we are eligible for a Emergency Call Alert.  Time to complain to Senators about this scamming.

Wish our government would do the job they promised us, and put a stop to this garbage. Wrote to my Senator, Schumer, a month ago about it. Still no reply. He appears to be a real coward when asked to actually do something. Not voting for him again.

These medical alert calls seem to happen if you, or a loved one, has had their patient record opened on an infected computer at the hospital or other health care institution.

Telemarketing scams are the new email spams. You will receive many many more calls from various numbers. All the numbers and caller ID's are faked/spoof. The criminals will use another fake number tomorrow and then another the day after that and so forth. The best way to know it is a scam is by USING YOUR CALLER ID. It will always be out of calling area, weird caller Id like wireless caller, or unknown caller. It will never be a legitimate 1800 number. Beware of those as well. Telemarketing scams are on the rise and YES the person on the other end know they are trying to scam you, which makes them criminal low-lives too. Criminals do not care about you nor the law.

These calls aren't going to stop you will receive many more (worth repeating). Do not pick up. Do not bother pressing any buttons or wasting their time. They are criminals. Criminals do not care.

Never ever give out personal information over the phone. Never ever give out personal information over the phone. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Especially do not provide personal information over the phone to telemarketers that CALL YOU.

You will not win anything, there is no lowering of your credit card interest rate, there is no home security, computer fix, auto warranty, no medical alert devices or no free government money. There is no company just criminals looking to steal your identities and your hard earned money.

Warn the elderly and warn the gullible. Take the time to let others know.

Don't take the calls personally. A computer does all the work until you press a button. Then your call is forwarded to a criminal operator who attempts to steal your personal info. Don't be a victim. Do not provide any personal information over the phone and just ignore the calls. Never ever give personal information over the phone. Not full name. Not full address. Definitely do not give date of birth over the phone.  Definitely do not provide your social security number over the phone. And definitely do not provide financial information over the phone.

Beware of out of your calling area callers. Beware of weird caller ID's. And hang up on unwanted automated telemarketing calls and unsuspecting calls. Don't allow criminals to waste your time. Ignore their calls.

Take the time to warn others, report the calls to the Do Not Call Registry and beware.

What has cut down on unwanted calls for me is..............turning off my answering machine.  If your answering machine answers the call, the computer, or telemarketer sees that as a valid number, and they will keep calling you back. I know this defeats the purpose of the answering machine, but my machine also has caller ID, so it still gives me the number that tried to call me. If I don't recognize the number, I just delete it. This may take a couple of calls, but eventually they will stop, until these morons move to a new number. Don't depend on the  " do not call registry " , they are totally incompetent, besides, there is no way to stop 100% of these call.  If you think it's bad now, wait until election time, when all the crooked politicians start calling you. THEY GET AWAY WITH IT, BECAUSE THEY CONVENIENTLY EXEMPTED THEMSELVES FROM THE " DO NOT CALL REGISTRY ".

Finally another person that gets it.....I have been saying this all along.....these people insist on answering these [***] and all there doing is keeping them in business and verifying that there number is a viable number.
I turned off my answering machine ages ago so that NOTHING. answers them.  If I'm home I check my callerID before I pick up when I'm not home I check my caller ID when I return and call back those I  choose.   So simple and I also have the Panisonic phone with the blocker, best investment I ever made....come here to see what there about and block them as well as laugh at all the fools that answer them.
You can also block calls on your iPhone very simply....recent calls, click on the icon to the right, scroll down and find block caller...LOVE IT

Free medical alert system. I can play their games, pressed one and talked to the telemarketer, they tried to suck me into a $40.00 per month contract, they started out by saying it was free, when I told them that's over $400.00 a year they offered to lower it, then I told them I don't have a land line, only a cell phone, (there system wont work with cell phones), I told them I can call 911 from my cell phone for free, this should get me off there list.

Med alert scam call.  Different number from one on May 2, Friday, three days ago, but same voice and message.  This is about the sixth phone number these jerks use.  Warn the elderly and impaired not to fall for any person that calls them with any offer.  

I am sooooooooooooo tired of telemarketers. Apparently being on the DO NOT CALL LIST does NOT matter to them. They just don't look or care or both. I hate recordings. This world has no more personal touch or care. Since I have caller ID (thank goodness), I will not be answering their call - EVER.

Did not pick up, but caller ID showed name as "Hauck Vincent P".

did not pick up,went to answering machine.  Left me message about free groceries if I press Number....Said his name was Vincent Hauck on caller ID.  I ignored this call as I do all the time.  Nothing is free. I checked the multitude of calls that we receive and I found this # from 6 months ago.  They change their spiel trying to get info from me.  No way...Just let it ring.  12:55 today 5/6/2014.

Pretty much same as above. Caller ID showed HAUCK VINCENT P and the phone number. I let it go to answer and later found a 30-second message about medical alert systems and free groceries. Number now blocked.

Definitely a scam. They call 10-20 times a day from many different numbers and usually say they will send a free medical alert device. This time they said they will send $1,000 in grocery coupons. Sometimes they offer a free prescription discount card. It's always a scam and they want personal information like social security number and credit card number. I think it's the same scammers that do the lower your credit card interest rate scam.
