Did not answer due to caller ID name.

Caller Id "Not In Use". Didn't answer and no message left.

There is an effort being made by Consumers Union (they publish Consumer Reports). The effort is a petition to hold the phone companies responsible (at last!) for these phone calls since they do not screen scammers and are making money off their harassing telephone robo calls to consumers.

The petition is to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) to take action to get the phone companies to at least offer free number blockers through their phone system.

Signing the petition is sure to help. Consumers Union has clout because of the numbers.

Received second call from "NOT IN USE".  This time my fax machine answered their call before they hung up.  Hummmm, second comment I've let here but not showing.  So not all comments are being seen on this site.  That's a shame.  I used to trust this site as being accurate.

5/13/15 12:00 PDT  Missed call, fortunately.  Wouldn't have answered anyway, but glad I wasn't here.  Only message was brief dead air and hang up on VM.

Just noticed, tried again at 14:11 today.  Stubborn so & sos.

5/14/15 11:33 PDT  Just called again, this time I was here, but won't answer calls from unidentified, unrecognized numbers.  This time didn't wait for VM to kick in.  DO I CARE?  I don't think so.   This is the 4th call in 2 days with a V ID.

Some spam pre-recorded message selling a medical alert system. I have gotten these before from different numbers and added this one to my blocked list. I'm on the DNC list and this is a private number.

How do we stop these annoyers.  Just call and does not say a word.  In the last 2 days I have received 6 calls from various numbers with nobody on the other end.

Junk call.  Didn't answer.  Blocked this number.  (Have gotten many calls, from several different phone numbers, with a "V" + a long number as the CID.)

Most of these calls come from outside the good ol' USA.  Not a damn thing consumers union or the government can- or will- do about that.  And the phone companies they would be playing whack-a-mole trying to keep up.

But I'll sign the petition, as futile as I believe it to be.

Bottom line, police it yourself.  You don't recognize the number or caller?  Then don't answer.  If it's important, trust me, they will leave a message.  It's that simple.

Calls a number of times and caller ID says not in use, what does that mean????????

Sick of these robo calls invading my privacy!

I do not answer calls I do not recognize. Just hit decline on my phone. Still annoying.

CALLER ID:  DOCTORS NETWORK.  We do not answer any call not recognized!!!!!  Why are these calls coming in??!!  What is Drs. Network!!!??  Hung up on this nuisance!!!!  We do not answer these calls, survey, telemarketing, or any other unwanted calls!!!!  Parasites!!!!

got a call from this numbers several different times one time you could hear someone breathing but when my husband answered the next few times they hung up
