Caller ID says" 516-453-68878" Left no message. I think they should pay when they call someone that has not requested their services.

My caller ID said:  "Doctors Network"  516.453.6887
It was a robo call telling me that I qualify for a FREE medic alert bracelet because someone recommended me. You are then instructed to hit one for more info or (a number I can't remember) to opt out.

I hung up.

Most people use call blockers. Google it.

You are partially correct.  The measure that Consumers Union is trying to get Congress to act on is only for cell phones.  That same thing for landlines isn't here yet.

nomo robo blocked this one on my landline, since it was on their black list.
I also have two call blockers that can block ten area codes each or 1,500 numbers each.
I have verizon fios blocking for 100 incoming calls that come in at night or early mornings.
I have a telezapper triggered by my answering machine for those new calls that are not yet blocked.
My friends get past all of this and leave a message.

I know that it doesn't make any sense, from the standpoint of the scammer, but caller ID has said Not In Service many times.  I've also gotten calls where the caller ID has my name and number. Unknown Name is another brilliant one they use.  They aren't the smartest people when it comes to programming the information that the Caller ID will show.

Call blocker caught it before it rang through. Caller ID said Doctors Network.

Left no message and callerid for me was also "DOCTORS NETWORK".   Callback number just gives busy signal.  Am guessing they hacked someone's phone and now that line is offline

called at 230pm and left no message.  caller id is doctors network, which I guess makes it a golfing company...

Recording....I tried to call back several times....says "disconnected"?????  Needs to be investigated!!!

Received a call from this number in the middle of the afternoon.  Caller  ID listed "Doctors Network."  Left no message.  We do not answer phone numbers which we do not recognize.

Phone # but no name, there was no voicemail left.

Same here, trying to push alert thing to us.  Yesterday, and today, 2 different phone numbers.  They are very persistent and annoying.  Now they say push 1 to opt out or another one to talk with someone.  None of my relatives would have given my number out for this.  So they lie when trying to scam us and then saying something about $1000.00 for groceries.  I listen, hang up, or now I don't pick up.

The ongoing scammer phone calls ......received yesterday & today....yesterday this number,caller ID "Drs Network"....today same number caller ID " V 52211443200049"...didn't answer the phone either day both same voice message re medical alert button,so sick of this crap with the phony ID's

If they aren't even talking, how can they get any money to pay their phone bill?

They don't speak when you answer, they don't speak to the answering maching ...... What's the point?

The point is phishing for live phone numbers that they can use to scam or to sell to other scammers. Live phone numbers (where someone either answers or especially when someone can't quell their curiosity and calls back) are valuable to scammers. Don't answer next time. Don't EVER answer unknown numbers and don't ever call back.

I hope all telemarketers are flown to Syria and ISIS can have them. For sure, these idiots would be an annoyance to ISIS' phone lines.
