Guy called from this number, said he was from Microsoft and there was a problem reported to Microsoft from our computer. I said "we have several" and I asked for specifics, he got rude. I asked where he got our phone number, he said it was the one used to register our windows product.  I asked him to relay the IP addressed used to register the licensing software for Microsoft., as well as the licensing software. He could not verify this information, but would transfer me to a supervisor. I hung up.

Next time I'm just going to tell him I only have Mac products and that he's going to jail for being a psycho caller.

Someoe called me with a strong accent and asked me how my computer was doing? I asked "who you are looking for"? He said "you". I then asked if this is "microsoft". He then hang up on me. I called the number back on my cell display but its a not in service number. I worried now... is this a scam?

this is the second time nov 15th at 6:20 that i have received such a call. The person on the line both times was a male with an indian accent saying that they were from windows security.  the first time i nearly fell for it until i realized he was trying to get me to give him remote access to my computer.  I called the police the first time and they informed me it was a common scam.  The second time i gave the would be thief a nice telling off and pressed *69 to get this number. I called it back and it said the number was disconnected. i'm contacting my local police now to report the incident.

Just got a call from 516-746-9347.
Caller said that he was calling on behalf of Microsoft, and that my computer was sending out thousands of alerts of an infection. He quoted an IP address, which may have been mine, I didn't write it down at the time.

When I pressed him, the caller said that his name was 'John Nash' from India, and worked for a company called 'Numtech', and they were Microsoft contractors.
I asked how he knew my name and phone number, since I have never given this info to Microsoft. He couldn't explain.
I asked him to call me back in 24-hours.

BTW, I didn't answer any of his questions, not even to acknowledge that I had a computer running any MS products.

Just received a call from this number today no one said anything and hung up. i also had several other calls from this number and never answered no message left.

Caller ID said New York.  I did not answer.  They left no message.  2/9/2013 1:58 P.M.
Forty minutes later, I got another call from New York, 607-722-9687  I did not answer.  No message.

Second call from Adam Smith with a thick accent (certainly not a native English speaker) saying that he was from Microsoft support.  I told him we an an IT person and he said "oh.... I am not talking about how you are doing, I am talking about your computer."  I just hung up.  Obviously a scam.  In addition, caller ID said the number was a payphone.  Anyone seen a payphone around lately?

Called on 2 numbers this one and 818-890-6843  ID on both said "PAYPHONE"  (nice try) did not answer eight one will block.

Didnt take the phone, called back, just an answeringmachine. This number has called me many times!

Got a call from this number today. The person asked if my name was _____, I said yes and the call either deopped or he hung up The person had a foreign accent.

had a call from the number in question thought it was strange as live in England ???????????

Heavy accent said he will go door to door to help us find lost dog. What a schmuck. total scammer

A man called to let me know that  my father's computer was sending so many error messages because of too much spyware and he wanted access to my father's computer.  He did have a strong Indian accent and he could not prove who he was.

Ik ben diverse keren gebeld door een Engels sprekende personen met de mededeling dat er een probleem is met mijn computer. zij belden in opdracht van Micro Soft service.
Op de vraag hoe zij aan mijn telefoon nummer kwamen direct opgehangen.
Dus niet op reageren.

They have called me three times in the last two days telling me that I have a computer problem and I should go turn on my computer. I told them I don't have a computer and then they said it was my laptop...
I don't even own a laptop so I hung up.. They called back immediately and asked why I hung up on them and went right into saying they were with Microsoft and they know I am using Windows..
Hung up on me this time after telling me to "F" off.

Have just recieved a missed call from this number on my UK mobile phone number (Scotland)! have had this kind of scam call on my work number before on a couple of occasions too (i work in a hotel).luckily i am always skeptical of these kinds of calls and realised straight away it wasn't legit. ridiculous!

Received a call this morning from 516-746-9347 at 7:44 no one answered me when I said hello.  Caller ID said New York.

They called me several times that there would be problems with my computer.
The English of the persons who were calling was very poor.

Received a phone call from them this morning. The person who call didn't say anything. I am always afraid when I received a phone call like this because of people who try to introduce themself in our account
