- Laurie replies to AlanBe careful, a lot of phone scammers, the state, government doesn't call back, along with utilities. These people will say they are from a certain agency and it's a lie. Don't answer the phone, that is what I was told by the police.
- Laurie SchraderThese people won't stop calling, don't know who they are.

- LeAnneI had a call from this number and a woman was clearly on speaker phone so it sounded like talking to and through a tunnel. She said she couldnt take me off of speaker phone because she was talking to me through a computer screen or something like that. She said she was calling from DHS and while I WAS waiting on a phone call from them it was still wierd. I wish I would have hung up cuz it is giving me the willies. Seems sketchy. My fault for answering.

- CalleeThis is a common trunk number for the State of MI all of the various departments. The caller should be leaving a message of who they are, their dept and a callback number and in some cases a reference number that will get them to the reason they are calling you. Departments include the health and human services including health labs, newborns screens, vital records, welfare benefits, WIC, snap, bridge, state prisons, state police, unemployment, atty general's office, social security, treasury, civil rights and the governor. Just because you don't owe any taxes, doesn't mean someone at the state doesn't have a legitimate reason to be contacting you. But If they leave no message, I wouldn't worry about it.

- DanielleThis number has called me roughly seven times in three days. Four of the seven were missed and no voicemail was left. One call was answered and after saying “hello” numerous times they hung up. One call was answered and it was a lady, who sounded strange, asking for my full name...repeatedly. I continued to respond with “who am I speaking to?” and she continued to demand my full name. Nope. I hung up on her after about 4 minutes of back and forth with no answers. One call was answered and this time it was man. Said he was from DHS, but had a heavy accent and i could hardly understand him. Mentioned something about my Medicaid and when I cut him off and stated that I had received all my paperwork regarding my insurance in the mail already, there were some weird scuffling sounds and then he hung up on me. Super sketchy and I would hope a scam of some sorts because if these calls were made by legit State of Michigan departments by legit customer service reps then lord help us all....we’re doomed haha (insanely unprofessional).

- JenniferI think someone has spoofed this number. Because of my job, when I saw this number come up as State of Michigan, I answered. It was a foreign guy asking if I was interested in selling my home. It was not a State of Michigan agency. I believe this was a scammer who has figured out how to spoof the number that shows up on your phone, when they call.
