Sounds like the Microsoft service scam is ramping up again. I got a similar call earlier today, but on a completely different number. Glad I don't tend to get calls from the US very often!

Received a call...in Portugal. They asked to asked to speak with the general manager of my own company... they new the name... I ignore that information ando told them they were calling a private number,,,J

This number called me saying I had a virus also and wanted access to my computer If this has been going on so long why has no one in the U.S. investigated this and put a stop to it? Looks like it has been going on for quite some time.

If eveybody would e-mail / report / phone numerous times the Municipality of  Schenectady, maybe they would chase them telemarketers out?....

Got the call from 518 399-9915 today.  Man with a very thick Indian accent was telling me that my computer was about to crash at any time because of some problem with a virus to my software.  I told him I would call Toshiba and hung up.  I believe this was definitely a scam call and should you get this call you should report it after you hang up on the call.

Caller from this number is running a phone scam claiming to be  calling from Windows Service Center and trying to con you into turning your computer controls over to him and his lot.  Scam just like what is recorded in this warning video --  http://youtu.be/cueN1-2lANA  

Do not fall for this, just hang up on the caller.

Just got a call from this number. ID said payphone. Could not understand the guy. thought he said something about do not call list. I just hung up.

I got a call from this number and said it was from a pay phone, hung up on them and called the number back it was disconnected and I really want to report this but who do you report it to that will actually do something about it?

Just got a call from this number. Told me there was a virus on my computer and he needed me to log in cause the computer was sending him signals and he needed to fix it. I pretty much figured it was a scam so I asked him if he knew there was a virus on my computer then which computer was it? He responded with " Ma'am if you would get on the computer and log on I can show you. I just replied with "yeah right Buddy. No Thanks." then I hung up. This ridiculous. You can hear all the people in the background.

I just got a call from this number last night at 10:30pm, which woke me up.  The lady sounded like she had an Asian accent, and told me something about my computer being effected and it was an emergency and I needed to get in front of my computer.  I told her I would take my chances and then asked her how she got my number (when I finally was more coherent) and she hung up.  Weird!

Just got a call from this number & he asked for "Mike" (I have 50 Mikes in my system).  Played his game and asked for a last name and how to spell it, I kept misspelling as he was trying to spell a name and kept asking "What letter was that?"  I pissed him off so much HE hung up.

I was getting calls from this # about once a week  (one day 3 calls within an hour) saying they were from Microsoft and there was a virus on my computer.  I knew it was a scam and hung up.
Tonite, I got a call from the SAME number (sounded like the same voice) saying he was from "Overseas Pharmacy.  He said that my pharmacy gets their meds directly from them and he could get them for me cheaper.  Wanted to know what meds I was taking.  I told him I don't pay for them and hung up.

called from Microsoft.. I asked him what my name was... he repeated my question and he HU.. mother**ckers

Got a call from this number today. No clue what the guy wanted....could hardly understand him....he told me I was a bi**h after I said I couldn't hear him    

This fools call me again and again ( several times a day )

Got a phone call which was shown on caller id from 518-399-9915. A man speaking very broken English asked for me by name and said he is from an IT company and they are detecting problems on my computer. I told him my computer was fine an I closed he phone. I knew this was a scam as I had gotten similar call before.

I received a call from Microsoft saying there was a Trojan virus on my computer and possibly other on our home network.  They said they would have someone look into it and then someone from Windows called to check it out.  They gained access to our computers saying they would clean them up and it needed to get done quickly or all of our home computers would crash and be unusable.  They charged us $500 to clean up 3 computers and then to offer lifetime protection for the computers.  We fell for it as we were probably in "panic mode"...my laptop was only 3 weeks old.

We have since had a couple of annoying calls but this morning I received a call saying that they needed to go back online so they could give us a refund as our work had not been completed.  They said that I needed to fill out an online form in order for them to complete the refund.  Now this was really strange!!!  I said that I was busy and they said that they would call me back in an hour.  I didn't answer the call because I was "Googling" the first two numbers which were 1 303 442 9290 and 1 518 399 9911.  I found out that these numbers are connected to an ongoing scam!  I received one more call from them and told them that I knew this is a scam and was reporting it!  The last number was 1 604 625 9911.  All callers had a very thick accent possibly from India.

Had a  few calls from this number now, never answered them. Glad I checked here! I live in Scotland, wonder how they get the numbers......
