just received a call from Payphone 518.399.9915.  very broken accent (female) wanted to help with my computer.  I told her this waa a hoax and scam and she hung up.

Same comments as the rest of the folks.  Shows up as "payphone" andis some foreigner, sounded Indian and not the native american kind.  Says he is with microsoft and someone from china is hacking into your computer to steal your identity.  Guy hangs up when I try to add my IT specialist to the phone conversation.  Total scam-must also have too much time.

They just called me (France)...they don't give up ringing and I do not answer unknown calls (thanks to telemarketers). I had time to look up their number on Google!!  I unplugged the phone.  Obviously, their scam is working if they are around years later.  Sad.

CallerID showed "NEW YORK" <5183999915>.  Indian sounding guy said he was with Microsoft.

Your obviously not too tired of them since you can't make your request for information in English.  Not impressing anyone.

What makes you think this is an English only forum?  While the majority of the calls reported here are received by US and Canadians most of whom speak English, this particular scammer has been calling people in other countries as well.  If they do not know English, they will post in their native language.

BTW, you do not seem to know English very well since 'your" is the 2nd person possessive plural and is not the correct contraction for "you are" which would be "you're".

Just got a call and they left a voice message (female with american accent) saying this is the final notification that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me/us and that I should call back (she left some number to call). Someone with authority please stop such annoying scam calls.

Called my cell AND my house with a recorded message saying that IRS was suing me.  Gave me another number to call.

After stringing her along for a while I told her she was an Indian trying to rob money from me....well ....after that, her English stepped up a few notches and she call me a Mudder F...ker and a few few more well placed superlatives.
I chuckled out loud and the next sound was....click.

Recorded message to say this last is final notice that the IRS has a suit against you.  Lists phone number for you to call for more information.  (This is a scam; the IRS does not call people about a "suit".) Do not call given phone number (253-336-5037)   JD

Phone caller listed themselves as IRS and that they were filing a lawsuit.  Called the number back and returned message was that the number was not in service.

We have received the "Microsoft" calls before and reported them to the National Do Not Call Registry.  This time, the strongly accented guy asked if I was a Muslim.  I said he must have the wrong number.  He then said "Aren't you a Muslim?"  I repeated that he must have the wrong number, hung up, and reported the call to the Do Not Call Registry.  This time it was very weird, because the Caller ID said "Payphone".  We received a call within the last week that I also suspect was from these same guys, and the Caller ID said something else.

hung up as soon as I answered and then phone number 14783389938 immediately called (same minute) same thing

Got the exact same automated message today--the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me!  Today is Feb. 2, 2015.

That is exactly the message I got 3 times yesterday and so far once today but every time I *69 it was a different # . What the heck???????

The # they gave me was not even a phone number it was 02-241-2150
