I was with rogers also and never got a call from a marketer until i went to bell, i think you are right in saying that they sold our info.

i also put my number on the do not call list web site and that has stopped many of the calls, i was getting four to five a day for a while

My mom have been getting many unwanted calls from this company, and they not only call once or twice but numerous times a day which is absurd.. there is no need for them to call that many times, and especially preying on a senior who doesn't really want a subscription right at the moment, or telling her that she can pay by 'credit card, or cheque' I mean how are we supposed to know who these people are when there are alot of scams surfacing..My mom has been put on a 'do not call list' but we'll see if it really works or not?? but for the time being be careful of what you're really getting yourself into, you really never know what some of these companies are really after..

it comes up as CMS on my caller id.......no message and calls once a day

I have been receiving calls from this CMS everyday for weeks and no one there when I answer.  Took the above suggestion and called 519-894-4566 ext 4 but was told it would take up to 31 DAYS to be removed!  I too would like to pay a personal visit-too bad its in Kitchener.  It better work or I will be.

If your caller does not hide anything from you chances are it is legitimate but if they hide anything like their identity YOU WILL BE SAFER IF YOU ASSUME THEIR INTENTIONS ARE CROOKED.

that is more then likely the President of CMS, everybody should call him at home every day, see how he likes it

My phone rings and nobody is there, daily this occurs.  I hope these are the home #'s of the president and general manager of Callright Marketing Services. I plan on calling them at home every time they call my house.  I will go to their voice mail long enough that they have to answer the message.  I will waste as much of their time as they waste of mine.  Please do the same.

Getting these calls every few days. I don't answer unsolicited calls. I'm on the national DNCL so this is really annoying, however I checked the CRTC website and "newspapers soliciting subscriptions" are exempt from having to use the list. You will have to ask them to take you off their *internal* do-not-call list, which they are required to maintain. Then if they do not comply you can probably complain to the CRTC.

Although I'm not sure if newspapers are allowed to contract their telemarketing out to a company that probably solicits more than just newspapers, and thus should be complying with the list.

Callright is an ironic choice of name...

these people won't give up....

I called the company direct 2 months ago. They promised to remove my number from their list and have not done so. They said it could take 30 days to take effect.

In the meantime I still get at least 2 calls a day for about a week, rest a week, and then they start again. It rings twice and then hangs up. There is never anyone there when you answer. When does their business practises become harassment?

I just called to have my number removed and the guy said it can take up to 31 days to have my number removed from all the call list.......grrrr
At least it will be removed.... I hope

I live in Ottawa and so am NOT going to call long distance and incur a charge to try to get them to stop.
I understand that they are a company named Callright Marketing Services (CMS) and they specialize in selling newspaper subscriptions.  I am going to call the local newspaper and demand that these telemarketers, working for them, cease and desist!
