And to quit F-ing calling me. he actually wanted to argue with me and then tells me there representing the FBI or he's FBI! I told him if he was f-ing FBI he would not be calling me he would be at my front door and you can only imagine how worse my language got. This fool went from Microsoft to FBI and the scream and holler at me through the phone oh not cool. and on top of everything he was foreign very bad english!

- SerenaGJust got this scam call from "First Step Tech" about my Windows computer having a virus and sending out Trojan files. I asked the kind gentleman which computer of mine, since I have a Mac. He said maybe my laptop and when I stated that I own nothing, not even a cell phone, running any Windows OS, he hung up on me. I didn't even have to be rude, brilliant!
- Caller: First Step Tech

- LouI've had several calls from this number recently. I never answered them and no messages were left. The caller ID did say "first step tech", and today it just said, "Leonardo", but the number is the same... lol
- Caller: "firststep tech" or "Leonardo"
- Rob| 1 replySame as all the others ... only after did I come up with all the good lines I could have given, e.g. "Obviously my computer has serious security issues if it gave you my phone number". I just quickly yelled at him to take his scam elsewhere. (Does anyone know what the scam is? Just a general phish or what?)
- Caller: Leonard
- LaurThis number has called a branch at my company twice in the past week, and both times they were told that any issues with the company systems would be handled by the company helpdesk, which I am a part of. Apparently they're starting to get abusive with my clients, so I told them that if it happens again to let me know, and to preferably conference me in so I can talk to these new "mystery co-workers" since they tried to claim that THEY were the helpdesk. If I get the chance, I'm going to go the route of declaring that their parents must be deeply ashamed of what a loser their child has become to have a job that has them cold-call places looking for the equivalent of "easily scared and naive elderly person" to try and steal from them. Last time I did that on a Chinese gold farmer in a videogame I got told that they were going to get their military to launch a missile at my house. :D
- Caller: First Step Tech/Microsoft
- Call type: Telemarketer
- BunnyThis number called me showing "Leonardo" on my caller ID, I picked up and said hello several times and an automated voice said, "Goodbye", and hung up.
Calls like these are part of the reason I no longer pick up the phone unless I actually recognize the number.. - Bunny replies to RobDefinitely a scam, been running for a few years. I think they try to get your credit card or other info. Have had people call here saying my computer has a virus..."REALLY? Which One" I ask..."Pc, your PC," they invariably say..
"Which One, we have 6?" I keep asking....(you might try this).
They usually get agitated, and say, "this is Microsoft, and you have a virus"..
To which I reply.."hold on a sec, my husband is actually a software engineer with Microsoft, you can talk to him..." (he was)
they hang up at this point. - DM| 1 replyreceive repeated calls all hours of the day from 530-287-8505, caller ID dispays 'LEONARDO'. No response when answering call, just, hangs up.
- Caller: LEONARDO
- BK replies to DMGot a call from Leonardo at my work and I yelled to go **** himself and hung up. Tired of these low life scums.
- jakeThe number 530-287-8505 with caller ID as Leonardo called. The individual had a middle eastern accent and said he was from Windows technical support department. I asked to be removed from his calling list, he replied that he would remove me from the world and then hung up. I know these are all scams, it is too bad there isn't a way to stop the calls except to cancel the phone service. It is to bad that people make the software for individuals to use that spoof the caller ID system. Maybe he needs to find another hobby.
- Call type: Prank
- Noelle replies to bugtexJust got a call from the same caller ID number. I didn't answer but will place a complaint with the FTC
- 866-292-6515Caller said that he was from Windows, and that my computer was loaded with viruses. He wanted access to my computer! My wife said that she could not use the computer, but asked that I call him back. This is a scam that I have gotten so many times that I could choke!
