We receive a phone call from this man and we were concerned.  But after I read the reports for this phone number on the computer we knew it was a scam.  Steve Martin sounds so official with a thick Indian accent.

Yes. I do that whenever they call.  Waste as much of their time as possible, then put the phone down and see how long it takes them to hang up.

They are in India and Pakistan and as such beyond the reach of US law.

You can't.  You need a call blocker.  Also, don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize.

This also just happened to me! "Steve Martin" heavy eastern indian accent could barely understand him called two times in a row. Threatened me if I did not call their 800 number it would be a Federal Offense & I would be prosecuted...hung up both times. Reported to Do Not Call & Ohio Attorney General as FRAUD.

Same as everyone else.  Multiple calls in succession and left on our voicemail.  Threaten arrest and jail time...

Steve Martin, aka Melvin Decker.  Melvin Decker claims to be an IRS agent who is calling to let me know that I am being charged with tax evasion and must call immediately for his help, and that I need to call him ASAP at 202/407-9732.  A man calling himself Steve Martin called about criminal charges, etc.  His call back number is 540-699-1528.  I am sure they are the same person and he has a heavy Indian accent.  I've had multiple voice mails from them, and would like to get rid of these calls!
