Look people, this number is a bogus number, so don't even bother looking for it. It's not just sprint customers, i got it, i'm on Unicel. And don't try and tell me i might be running of their network. I'm not, the cell phones have entirely different technologies. Some person is hacking ANI (thats the infrastructure that generates your caller ID) to show a phone number with a bad area code, no prefix... These calls are harmeless if you don't follow the instructions... I wouldn't answer at all. Now it is annoying, but there is only one person that can track these suckers down. What you need to do is take the time you received the call and the phone number of course and report it to your phone company. They might not be able to stop it, but at least they can stsrt recording data to try to find out who it is. You should also make a report to your local authority. As this is crossing many state lines... it'd probably be considered a federal matter, but they can make sure it gets to the right people.

I got this call at 10am AZ time on 1/16. Didn't answer. WTF?

Just got a call from 555 000 9561. I live in Utah. I got it at 12:13 PM. It was about 6 sec long and it was a recording, Spanish speaking recording???? Weird.

Got the call just a moment ago.  It was Spanish speaking recording.

Got the call at 3:06 here in Texas & thought it might be someone from Mexico trying to reach me. I missed the call since my ringer was on silent. I would like to know if it is a Mexican calling card. Maybe they'll call again & I can let everyone know what the heck is going on since I know Speak Spanish fluently. I also have Cricket.

i reported it to my phone company... i tried contacting the local authorities, but they're not giving me the time of day, they feel its a harmless prank... what should i do?

1/16/08 7:26 p.m.  Didn't recognize the number so didn't answer.  Glad for that; don't speak Spanish.  I was taught English in school.  Question for anyone.  Have you received any calls from several Indonesians with names like Johnathan Chris, Chris Albert or Kimberly Chris stating you filled out a prize form at the mall and won?  I don't know how else to tell these people they are full of shite and stop calling.  Don't fill that crap out unless you want to get suckered into time-share.  That's how I know I didn't fill anything out.  How do we get these pain in the @$$ people to stop calling?  Looks like it doesn't matter what phone company you have, or if you are registered on do not call list.

Got a call from it today in austin, texas at 8pm.  i have AT&T so I guess which phone company you have and which state you're from does not matter.
and i thought american telemarketers were bad enough!! now its gone international.....

got a call this morning from this weird number and it was in Spanish. I hung up, called the operator and the number is invalid. I really want this to stop. It's very unnerving.

Hey I just got a call at 11:58am ET on my AT&T phone. I missed the call and tried to call it back, but with no luck. I just read all of the messages on this blog and realized that I am not alone. Has anyone been able to successfully track the number to someone or some entity. The # is (555)000-9561.

11:52am Phoenix, Sprint. Didn't answer. Happened once before between Christmas and New Year. 555-000-xxxx. Not positive if it was the same last four digits, but I did answer and it was a Spanish recording.

One more... I am in Arizona, got the call at 10:17 and didn't answer.  What the??
