I just reported this number to the "do not call registry" maybe this will help. I suggest anyone wanting solicitaion calls to be blocked from their phone to register your number with said site. I've had my number registered with them for several years and never receive solicitations ~ up until this one. It is managed by the Federal Trade Commission of the United States Government so it is very safe.

If you don't know the #, don't answer it. If it is someone with an important call, they can leave a message, and you can call them back. Just because you get a phone call, doesn't mean you have to answer it. I've got several calls from a number that is 12 #'s long, and they called 3 X a week, but I never answered it. Don't let it upset you.

Got a call from this number today at 1:58 PM utah.  My number used to be cricket, but I ported it over to verizon.  It was some pre-recorded spanish male.

Well my boyfriend has had his cell phone for about 2 months and he also got this call for the first time April 2,2008 at about 8pm pacific time. We live in Fresno, California and have never recieved a call from this number before. By the time we answered it they hung up immediately and we tried calling back but got a message stating that it is a non-working number or something of that sort. FYI- Just to let you guys know, it is not illegal for market researchers of some sort to call your cell phones or home phones even if you are on the National Do Not Call Registry. As long as they are not technically "selling" you anything they can call. I know, annoying right. Well what you can do is if they call tell them that you would like to be added to their Do Not Call List also. These people can get your number from any where, or they can just be calling random numbers and since yours is a working number, they continue to call it.

Now I'm not sure if this has any relevance but until today I have never had a call from this number. A close friend called me to ask my exact details as they were sending me a gift which was being ordered online. Shortly after they ordered it I got a call from 555-000-9561........just a thought but maybe there's a connection?

Got a call too, right now, about quarter to midnight.
This is the first time so far from this number. It's not a working number it says when I called it.

I just want to add that what I said was 11.45 PM was in Kentucky where we are located with our California cell phone.

Recieved call at 9:07pm 4/3/08 from 555-000-9561.  Caller didn't leave a message but let it ring until message came on.  This is a company cell so I don't get solicitation on it...

I have been getting a call from this number about every week. I have t mobile so i dont think its just a sprint or cricket thing. I googled the 555 area code and all i could find was that it was normally used for directory assistance. So maybe it is a calling card? I never answered so i dont know but next time i will.

I dont know anyone in any spanish speaking countries, none that would call me anyway. Im just tired of it. My wife speaks spanish fluently so ill have to have her answer next time

Oh btw, i just remembered that i used to have cricket and i got my number ported to tmobile. There is a huge latino population here in Ogden, Utah. Maybe cricket is spamming its numbers???

I have had several calls from this number, and other valid numbers in FL with the same automated Spanish message.  The dude says, "hola, blah blah blah," and then something like, "push '1' after.  A long time ago I pressed 1 and a live person came on the phone in Spanish.  I asked, in English, for a supervisor.  When they finally came on, they went off in Spanish and I started speaking in English.  Finally, in broken English they asked what I would like and I told them to take me off their lists and to stop calling me.  She hung up!  Bizatch!  I've been called several more times since then.

im with a cricket service and i get it every weekend and im only 17 AND ITS A BUNCH OF BS!!!! they need to figure it out pretty soon my little six year old sister is going to start getting the calls and i know for a fact that it will scare the crap out of her!!!!!

Just got this call on my cell, Some Company pushing something to spanish speaking individuals. It is computer generated and VERY annoying! My spanish is limited so I did not get all the details. This 555 thing is new on me.

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone - Rang 3 times and hung up.  No message.  How do we get this stopped?

The man tells you that you've won a prize, and wants you to press 1. I pressed one, and the call ended. That is all.

I just received a call a few minutes ago too from the same automated message. What cellphone carrier do you have? I have Sprint, and live in Nashville. Do you have any similarity?

Note: The number I have used to be a Cricket Phone number. I ported it over to Sprint. I wonder if Cricket has sold their customer's numbers?
