Just called. I picked up on first ring and they hung up. I suspect that this is a boiler room working for the PAL and they get paid for every number to which they connect, or at least the scum working there get credit that way.

I got a phone call from 559-272-6415 today. I picked up the phone, but no answer. Then, the call hanged up. I do not want any phone call from this number to me any more.

I'm not impressed with this organization either...  each time they've called me, I politely requested to be put on the "do not call list".  Each and every time the caller has combative advised me that a non-profit organization does not have to comply with the list and he will continue to contact me for donations.

I finally BLOCKED this number in my cell phone and will NEVER donate money to this organization.

these of course are cops .... who else would want top steal your hard earned money?????    I know for fact that is got to be true... cops yea they got nothing better to do than to spend there time on the phone to take you hard earned money!!!!  People get real.....

Received call from 559-272-6415 around 6:30 pm.  There was no voice response when I answered the call.  After doing a google search, I found the source of this annoying call.  It is bad enough to receive unwanted solicitation calls, but then when there appears to be no person--or even recorded voice--responding when the call is answered, it is such a waste of time.  Then on top of that, there is the time to research the call and register this complaint as well as send an email to the organization asking that I be removed from their call list.  Well, we'll see how effective all of this effort is.  If I receive no more calls from them, then it is worth it.  And here I thought my # was registered on the Do Not Call List.  Apparently, it is not fool proof.  Oh, but then I guess if they are a 501C3 organization they are exempt from that rule.

Phone rings two times. I answer, nobody there until dial tone results. Call back geets BS recording about 501c3 organizations being exempt from do-not-call lists. They claim to be the California Police Activities League. It is calls like this that causes me to absolutely refuse donations no matter how much the benefit might be. They also have nothing to do with any police agency so why refer to them by that business name?

Get over it peeps, your beef is with the legislature. The police in this state try to have a positive impact in the community and you want to "put them out of business"? So your phone rings once in a while. Big deal. You've got caller ID. Exercise your right to ingore it. Unless you are posting from Darfur or Tibet, you aren't as oppressed as some of you make yourselves out to be. Think about who you are telling off next time you unload on them. (No, I don't love cops, I just hate whiners.)

Called at 6:02 pm. When I answered I heard a single load beep. No one responded to my "hello". Very annoying.

CAL PAL called but when I picked up there was nothing but dead air. If they call again, they may get to deal with real police.

Called LATE at night.  I'm on the DO NOT CALL list.

Asked L.A. County Sheriff and California Highway Patrol about these guys and both say they are not legitimate.  Real law enforcement agencies do not solicit donations of any kind; whether by phone or mail.
