I just got the same call as Outsider. Nothing, then a beep, then an automated voice saying "goodbye"

very heavy accent. Maybe Indian. wanted to know if I was diabetic. Asked her not to call again

This call shows V06222100430568 in the name portion of my caller ID.  No message left.  They called at 5 PM on the dot, right before I walked in the door.  I searched the "name" transmitted, nothing.  I would love to find these idiots and shut them down.

The problem with playing with telemarketers by picking up is that you have validated your phone number as one with an individual who answers.  They sell these numbers to other T'marketers (crooks) and your source of "fun" continues.   Its like opening an spam email to see what's in it. You don't have to reply to let the sender know he has a working email address, just opening it will automatically send verification.

This caller has called numerous times and never leaves a mssg - doesn't even wait for recorder to pick up.  I like the idea of talking jiberish to these unwanted calls.

Have had several of these calls and they never leave messages.

Received call from this number and the person had a very thick foreign accent.  I goofed around with some crazy sounding language and the call was terminated, quickly.

I have recieved 15 or 20 calls from this person speaks in spanish and will not stop talking no matter what I say.

Not true. DNC list is only for five years as previous poster said.

I ask them for an access code. Resonse is confused. I remain Quiet.

Asked for me by name.  STRONG accent.  Could hardly understand what he was saying.  Claimed to be from some diabetes organization.  Started asking medical questions.  When I said I did not have diabetes, he asked if I knew someone with diabetes.  When I said "no" he hung up.  He never got to the real reason for his call.  I assume he was trying to sell something or scam me.

Not true. The FTC cancelled the 5-yr expiration. DNC is now permanent.

I get calls from this number at least 2 times a week. Only comes up at CA Call on my caller ID. Yet another phone number to report to the FTC.

Received phone call from 599 302 9128.
They asked for someone in my family who didn't even live here.  Did not speak English very well. When I phoned the number back they claimed to be the National Diabetes Association.

THEY CALLED TODAY AND I SAID HELLO LIKE MAYBE 5 TIMES AND ALL I HEARD IN THE BACK GROUND WAS MUSIC LIKE SOMEONE WAS AT A PARTY OR SOMETHING....

I received a call from this number.  The lady with the accent asked if I had diabetes.  I said no.  She then asked if I knew anyone who had diabetes. I told her of course I did - afterall most of us know someone who has it.  She then asked for my friends names and telephone numbers so she could call them.  I said, "I don't give my friends names and numbers out" and hung up.
