- GQCalled at 1:11 pm EDT, listed as California Call, I did not answer, and no message was left. I've been receiving quite a few of these calls from various locations, and my number has been on the Do Not Call list for years - I've even registered both my land line and cell line 3 times. I'm so glad to have found this website, now I check every unknown call!

- M.S.My elderly mother rec'd a call from this number today offering her free diabetes supplies. Asked for all her insurance information, including her social security number, which she started to give when I ripped the phone from her hands and told the woman we'd call her back. She said "Um, no, I'll call you back." I told her I knew this was a scam and hung up.

- Caller: ?
- BrianCalled for a "Mr." and my wife's maiden name. Instant indication that it's not something legitimate.
Told the caller there was no such person there. He said, ok, while I have you on the phone, is there anyone in your household with diabetes? I said, yes, let me get him.
Then I put the phone down and went back to work. He sat on hold for about five minutes before hanging up.
This way, I'm wasting the scammer's time and money, and at least while he's on my phone, he's not bothering anyone else. - skyThey called - I let it go to answering machine - they did not leave any message.
If you call the telemarketers back, they are then free to call you without repercussions from the Federal government UNLESS you tell them to take your name and number off their list.
I've been receiving numerous telemarketing calls to my phone, which is registered with the Government's Do Not Call List, and also telemarketing text messages. You must keep a log of the number, date, and time of the call. If they persist in calling past the 30 days grace period after you tell them to stop, they should be reported to the DoNotCall Registry - http://www.DoNotCall.gov - and they can be fined up to $11,000 per violation once reported. You must provide as much information as possible - who called you, dates, times, telephone numbers, what it was about, etc. for the Feds to be able to prosecute and fine.
Telemarketers are governed by Federal laws requiring them to only call during certain hours ( 8 am to 9 pm in whatever your time zone is) and requiring them to NOT call if you tell them to remove your name and number from their list.
For more information, see https://www.privacyrights.org/fs/fs5-tmkt.htm
For complete information from the FCC regarding telemarketing, see:
http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/FCC-03-153A1.pdf
Go to page 130 for a summary of the rules - all the preceding gives a great deal of information, but the summary gives you the gist of the final rules.
If telemarketers violate, report them to the DoNotCall registry - https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2
It is also highly recommended that you list with your state's Do Not Call Registry as well, as the Federal registry does not govern telemarketing calls which happen within the same state.
Hope this helps - kpegelowHave received calls from this group every day for the past three months. One of the callers appears to be Indian (from India) according to his dialect. Have also spoken numerous times with a woman who's accent pinpoints her as either black or from one of the southern states. Both have called more than once and each time, been told not to call back.
We reported them to the phone company after find we were unable to block them. She has instructed us to file a police report. Check your local elder abuse laws. This potentially constitutes elder abuse through the harassment involved in the multiple calls. You may be able to pursue them that way.
There are two websites. Both use the same phone number, which is identified as linking to an address in Inglewood, CA. The address is not a valid address. It belongs to the Foot and Ankle Institute.
This corporation was registered with the state of California, which state suspended the corporation. Address and phone to the corporation links back to the Inglewood Corporation. They also appear to be operating out of Florida and Hawaii.
They got our number after my husband clicked on a link on Facebook for free game coins for a game he is playing. We are both in our late 60s and he is not computer savy. If anybody else has the same experience, I would like to know.- Caller: National Diabetes Association

- kpegelowAdd another number to the numbers from which they are calling--954-429-6735. The address associated with this number is 12th Avenue, Pompano Beach, Florida 33060. Am finding complaints for this phone number identical to the other three numbers. The other two numbers, again, are 877-506-9633 and 701-920-9511.
