- JDB| 1 replySCAMMERS - they are trying to intimidate you into paying for something that you dont owe. Tell them to take a hike and call the phone company and leave a complaint. Somehow, they have a list they are calling and harassing people. I can only imagine if my 82 year old mother got a call from these scam artists.

***A company must be licensed in their state as well as the one they are trying to collect in if two different states are involved.
Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time, date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection - GeorgeMartini Hughes & Grossman trying to collect a debt from another company that used to have my phone number. I've had my number for over fifteen years, so that should tell you what kind of "debt collectors" these are.

- F. Ed UppThis number left a message on my parents' answer machine for a business entity my father and I used to have, but dissolved several years ago. The message left this number and the contact name "Eddie."
I called back and the party's voice mail greeting had the name Eddie Selva (or maybe Zelva). i left him a message saying that the business he was looking for no longer exists and to please remove the number he called (and I repeated it) off of their calling list. We'll see if Eddie does this or if more calls come in.- Caller: Martini, Hughes, and Grossman
- Craig Dunlow replies to Gatekeeper| 6 repliesThey called my company and left a similar message, I fired my gatekeeper because she did the same thing you did, she never relayed the message to my acct. receivable or me. We really needed to go after a couple dead beats and they were successful at getting my money back. This is exactly why ''us'' business owners sometimes dont find the right people to assist our business because ''our'' gatekeepers blow everybody off the phone. I could have even given my previous gatekeeper a raise if she wouldve let hughes martini speak with me or my acct receivable because thanks to companies like them I was able to recoup 100k that I had lost a couple years back... My best advice is: GATEKEEPERS, BEFORE GETTING RID OF A SERVICE OFF THE PHONE FIRST CHECK WITH YOUR BOSS BECAUSE YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT MATTERS AS WE DO!!
