I am also a Wyndham owner, but I don't believe this is anyone from Wyndham calling us.  I think it's a third party (possibly www.SellMyTimeshareNow.com) who happened to obtain records of Wyndham's real estate transactions.  (Unfortunately, real estate transactions are public record, which is how they got our numbers.  However, calling us is still illegal if we are on the Do Not Call list.)

Yeah as like the rest of you I get that call to but I like to have fun with them I'll act like I can't hear them till they get so frustrated they hang up or I 'll just yell very colorful and vulgar metaphors into the phone ...lol that usually gets them to go and not call back for awhile  plus gives me a good stress relief.

I have been getting daily calls from this number.  When I call back, it just says "We're sorry, your call can't be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial again."

I'm a Wyndham owner too and this number keep calling me for the last 3 months.

I was able to speak to someone after numerous calls from this number.  This telemarketer was basically badgering me.  He said he was with SUMMERBAY RESORTS.  I told him that his company had repeatedly tried calling me, and he insisted this was the first attempt.  I again reiterated that his company had tried calling me multiple times per day throughout the last week or so.  He flatly said "no, that's not true".  I asked him to take me off his call list, and then he started to go into his marketing script again.  I said, please give me your supervisor.  He said he was the supervisor.  I asked to speak to his manager, he said he was his own manager.  I asked to speak to his immediate supervisor, he said he was the immediate supervisor.  I asked him to give me his name and phone number:

I tried returning the call to the number listed.  It is a false number.  It connects to Con-Edison in New York (an energy company).

I tried calling 866-941-8434 that Chris mentions from October 7.  A man by the name of Nelson answered.  I told him my story about what happened, and he promised to take my name off of their call list within the next 24 hours.  I will see what happens.

Do NOT do business with this company.  Seems pretty shady.

Another Wyndham owner here! They said it was RCI and then wanted to get me to go to Summer Bay Timeshare for a presentation.

Told them we are on do not call and they said it does not matter as Wyndham gave them my name and permission to call. I told them not to call and they still keep calling. Even after I got nasty with them they still keep calling. has to be a scam because any reputable business would stop after they new that we would not but take the hook and have told them not to call!

I am a Wyndham timeshare owner and receive from 3-5 calls in a given day random days, over the past couple of weeks. There is no one there when I answer.

I've successfully blocked many of these calls by purchasing a Panasonic phone that has a good call block feature.  I only wish it was able to block more than 20 numbers but the 20 numbers I have saved in the call block list has certainly eliminated most of these annoying calls.

I noted that the 561 number listed above isn't the exact same as the one that's calling me but its close... maybe just a typo?

as another person pointed out, real estate transactions are public record so it is *possible* that Wyndam (or RCI) didn't sell our phone numbers - this Summer Bay Resorts company could be simply mining info from the published real estate transactions...

I use Vonage VOIP - wish there was a way to block specific numbers or even all numbers from an area code... there has to be a way...

UPDATE:

well, my Wyndham contact said that Wyndham (also RCI who is now owned by Wyndham) did not hire these folks for anything... they are most likely getting people's information from the court house records of real estate transactions (a timeshare purchase is a real estate transaction just like buying a house) which is public record and anyone can walk in there and get all that information.

looking into a way to block individual phone numbers from connecting through to my phone... I use Vonage VOIP for my phone service and unfortunately Vonage does not offer a way to block an individual number or even all numbers from an area code etc... yet other VOIP phone services DO offer this function... so I don't know what's up with Vonage - they NEED to get on the ball!!!

I own with Wyndham as well.  I receive a call once a day.

We also keep getting calls form this #.  We do have a time share from wyndam and they might be selling our information

I received several calls from this number over the last two weeks. I googled the number and this posting came up.  I would like to get to the bottom of this call and why there is no response in returning the call.

I have had many caolls from this number and know want will anser when I pick up.  If I call back then the number does not exist,

I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING CALLS FROM THIS # (561-935-4417) FOR A MONTH!  NO ONE ANSWER'S OR TALKS!  THIS IS HARASSMENT!  I WANT THIS TO STOP NOW1

We also have a Wyndham Condo (our actual one is at the Wilderness in the Wis. Dells). I have spoke with these people before and they are wanting to buy either the entire time share or to see if we want to sell some of our points. I HAVE ASKED THEM NICELY TO STOP CALLING BUT THEY CONTINUE TO DAILY!!! Sometimes SEVERAL times a day!!!!  I am going to try the number that Louwho posted above and see if I can get somewhere with THAT! I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST ALSO!
