I recently started receiving calls from these people severel times a day, have no ide who they are or how they got my number. I called Verizon to see if they could block the number, but they were useless.

These guys have been calling my cell NONSTOP for over the past week now when I'm either in class or at work. They called me three times the first time and I typically get one or two calls a day from them. This is truly rediculous.

I just called Verizon to see if I could block the call.  They told me it is illegal to block calls to cell phones but you can block calls to land lines.  Unfortunately, I have a cell phone which is a business cell.  He told me the only options I have are: 1. add to do not call list - but people like this don't care about that or 2. change cell phone number.

You can also fill out the fcc form on this site but I don't know what that will do.  Answering these calls though is only going to let them know your cell is live.  I'm sure these are automated programs that let the operators know they have a live fish on the line to speak with.

It is illegal to make Marketing calls on a cellphone. As someone mentioned in the first page

1) go to http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/tcpa.html

2) Also file a complaints 1088C at the FCC.https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do

3) Call your Office of Attorney general and start a small court claims. These guys will pay $500 per call made to your phone

This will help solve the problem for everyone. When they will run out of money or start feeling the cost , they will quickly stop

yes I like the idea of a class action suit,  My daughter was recieving average of 2 calls a day from these idiots,  which costs money everytime to recieve the messages.  so i asked her to press 1 so I could talk to a rep.  I told him my daughter was 15 and did not drive. I asked him where they get the numbers he said "I don't know" then I told him that I wanted to speak to his manager because I was going to charge them $10.00 for her phone bill he laughed and hung up on me.  Now when I try to call them back it say's that I have been removed from their preferred callers list

My number is on the national do not call list and I get the calls,  all 4 of my cell phones in the house are on the list plus my home number land line and I get the calls

this number calls me at least once every other day, they never leave a message but i've answered a couple of times. Its all the same thing. they say that the warranty on my car is running out and would i like to renew. I get calls  from multiple numbers from the same place. (603)214-3589, (562)289-8136, (631)840-1026. The (603) number being the most recent(Feb 1, 2008. I dont even have a warranty on my cars. theyve been paid off since I got them.......SSSSSSCCCCCAAAAAAMMMMMM.......

I just filled 2 complaints regarding these people and their pathetic business practice. I will file as many complaints as calls I get. Join me and lets "get them"!!

Got a call from 562-289-8136 and 408-651-8199.  Same thing as all others.  This may be just coincidence, but I just had to cancel a credit card due to fradulent charges.  The charges were billed thru a VerWireless ecars.  The credit card company recoginized it as fradulent and put a hold on the acct.  The number on the charges was for VerWireless in CA 888-294-6804, others have been having the same issues with this company.  Again, this may be a coincidence, but within 2 days of the fraud charges, I start getting these calls.  Please keep an eye on your accts, bank and credit.  Immediately report any fradulent charges to your card company

If you do a google search for "Great Atlantic Warranty", you come up with a youtube account which belongs to these a$$holes. The account name is MIKEZAMBOUROS.

I then googled "mikezambouros", which netted the url of a a website owned by these creeps - mikezambouros.com!  Sure enough, if you try going here, the title of the page is "Great Atlantic Warranty", though the page itself just says "coming soon".

Just for kicks, I did a WHOIS search for this domain (mikezambouros), just to see who registered it, and that netted me the following information:

Usually they have been calling me using 562-289-8136.  These scumbags just called me with 408 587 2116 when I stopped answering the other number after two weeks of harrasment!  My cell has the option to block, so I guess they are just going to annoy me until they die.  I hope they die soon. Them and they're stupid fake car insurance!

talked with these warranty people, stated that they knew my vehicle warrany was up and that they could give me the extended warranty coverage I needed.  So I played along he first asked me the year, make and model of my vehicle (shouldn't you already know this if you are calling me to let me know thatmy warranty is expired?).  He then preceded to tell me that he could give me a 5 yr 100,000 miles full coverage warranty for 2,540.00 and could pay in full today of pay over 12 months with a deposit today.  even gave me a confirmation number and transfered me to a Warranty Financial Advisor...This guy Steve Dormazil -- at 888-858-8448 ext 1002 was a bit pushy -- stated that today was the final day that I could recieve this offer, he was even so nice as to decrease the premium to 2,240.00 and add an extra 2 years onto the warranty.  Was quite insistant that I give him my CC information over the phone and was not pleased that I wouldn't give it to him without confirming his organization with my dealership and hung up on me.  

I contacted the dealership that sold me my vehicle and asked about this warranty company, he states that he's never heard of this group and that they're probably running a scam....so I've since reported them to the FCC
