Its a call center company.  The person who is calling gets credit for each call they make.  thats why they dont let it ring or wait for u 2 answer.  they hang up after the first or second ring...

Same here!  I just got a call and didn't answer it because I didn't recognize it.  Searched Google and found this site.  I hate telemarketing, spam or whatever it is.  Especially when they call my cell!

Call was an ad asking me to change to Net10 service. Angry that they wasted a minute of my paid phone time.

they called me at 10 am. Its a california number, says google, and I live in TN so i called it back.
First thing it says is "Hey Cosmo" something or other, "please wait while we retrieve your information", and then there is another recorded female voice who enthusiastically says "Add spice to your love life--" before I disconnected the call 11 seconds in. Don't waste your time calling them back.

Got a missed call 8:53P  25-Feb-2011.  Based on the above, I'll block this number.

Just got the call. They hung up on me. To the blocking list!!
