Message left from Julie Smith, IRS....call or have representing attorney call.  From IRS and call back is time sensitive.  Left this number.....Seemed to be scanned like everyone else.  As some people said...they need to get a life

It didn't help I am working with a tax advocate and getting the refund they OWE me right now.  
1st he asked if I had an attorney.  Then threatened to freeze all accounts and garnish all wages as well as seize all property.
I asked for his name and ID number and a weblink to see about online status.....he told me to "[***]".  Such low-lifes.....these people should be persecuted by all means possible.

Can something be done about this, same number after all this time.  I just received the call today.

I received a call from the top # and this was a first time I was approached by bogus call like this.  Please be aware that this is definitely a unlawful act.  Some investigation must be conducted to find out who these scams are!!!

Dayman Marshall answered 585 364 6540 when I returned the call I received today January 14, 2015. He said he was with the IRS but did not give me a badge ID or any other way to confirm he was with the IRS. He told me to listen and not interrupt untile he was completed.  He stated the IRS had audited my tax returns for the past 10 years and found a miscalculation of tax income resulting in additional dollars owed to the IRS.  He did not state the dollar amount owed.  He also told me the IRS would be ceasing property, credit cards, and black listing my social security number and credit reports.  He went on to state that there would be police officers coming to my door to arrest me and I could be inprisoned for 1 year. At this time he asked if I had any questions. I asked if he was for sure from the IRS? Reply yes, I explained I had never received any notification in writing from the IRS. He said they had they had come to my door but was unable to get a response.  I told him I was totally shocked by this phone call and all he said was "you will find out more information when they come to arrest you" and hung up. He did not request me to pay any money, did not ask for my SS number or any other personal information. I have not received anything from the IRS in letter form or any other stating there was an issue with my taxes.  Thanks for having this site available.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

They are located in India or Pakistan and as such beyond the reach of US law.

Automated message stating that immediate action was going to be taken unless I called them back. "Them" claiming to be agent Smith with the IRS.

I got the same call today scared the crap out of me. The person gave me the same speech, told me they'd take away my home, throw me in jail for a year, etc. I said shouldn't you have informed me in writing? He said no, this is your official warning. I said well that's funny since I've never had a problem with my taxes at all. He said that will be for you to prove in a court of law, good luck and hung up on me. I called back, it went to voicemail. I then blocked my number and called back several times, he kept picking it up and hanging up on me. I did call 911, they told me it was a scam. Talk about seeing your life flash before your eyes. I felt I was having a heart attack.

Yes well said, I just have same call from 585-479-8506 and experience how  a whole life went in front of me. It is scary when they told me that  I will have to go to jail for 7 days before placing bail.

I just received a text message from this number.  It just said Hello? Obviously I didn't reply and I just deleted the text.  I guess they are resorting to texting now as well as calling people.  I just delete texts from people I don't know.  I am glad I did with this number.  People have enough BS in their lives, who needs more from strangers lol

Same old prank call. The message says they are the IRS, blah, blah, blah, more information about the case file call 585-364-6541. Twice today I got this message.  Please someone from the IRS go take away their telephones! And, lock them up and throw away the key. What a nuisance.

Got same IRS call as described. Yeah, that's what they do ...they call you and tell you to call back. Yeah that sounds like the IRS...no letter, just a call like hi how are you. Idiots. Sad thing is some folks will panic and do exactly what they say and lose a lot of money and a lot of sleep. Sad...yup, that do not call was worth creating...useless . And so much for an unlisted number. Yeah that's worth the extra charge on the phone bill. Check up on your elderly relatives, friends and neighbors and be sure they understand this is a scam. Don't call back.
