How can I block the 586 area code?  HELP!!!

Blocked the whole area code!! Good for you. Finally, someone who gets it, I have done the same thing with quite a few area codes, and it has been quite effective.

walks right through the NO SOLICITATION screen with no problem, and why not, these are the lowest of the lowlifes on the planet?  please show me anyone\thing lower than this long running scam, and why can't Mr. government lift a lazy assed finger to do anything about it? oh, that's right these bottom dwellers are their biggest $ contributors?

I get phone calls like this about 4 -5 days a week. It said "cust Serv" so I knew it was a recording. I no longer say "hello'. I just pick up and let it do whatever. it said "In case of a heart attack. . ." and I just didn't listen to the rest of this bull [***]. I pushed 3 and it went dead.  I guessed at a number to push. I am going to call Verizon and ask them how I get all of these phone numbers to be blocked since I think Verizon changed something and they don't have the *67 or is it *69 . .whatever the call block is . .. Verizon must have something. Had the same phone number since 2004.  It is getting old. Sometimes I just don't answer it anymore

Verizon is completely useless and won't give you any real help.  I've been down this road with them.  They will offer, out of the goodness of their hearts, to sell you their Family Base service for the low low price of $5/month and with that you can block up to 25 numbers.

Consumer Svcs is back to using an older number that was in use before I got my new phone that blocks 250 numbers. It has been added to the Blacklist which contains way too many of their numbers. They have used the Scranton, PA number almost daily since the beginning of September. Also many calls from their (321) Florida number and other numbers in other states as well.
Called our DNC registered landline on 10/03/2014 @ 11:04 AM from Mt Clemens, MI.
This is by far the longest running and most persistent scam going. I estimate 1500 plus calls in 4 years. They constantly change the name, the callers name, the numbers and locations.

Consumer Svcs blocked again on 10/04/2014 @ 10:40 AM.

Please stop calling...sick of running to the phone for nothing.  YOU ARE ANNOYING!  I will never believe you or give you any information.  I am going to have to give up my land line because I can't take these 5 to 6 phone calls a day from you.

586-231-3657 called 4:16 PM. Pre-recorded message left on answering machine said "free medical alert system".

buy a blocker and be happy...dont waste your time with filing complaints it doesnt work..just block these animals,they will have to call you with another number and you block that one too.

Another call from 586-231-3657 from "consumer services" for meical alert system.  I have asked to be removed from their list; have pressed "5" to be removed; and am on the Do Not Call list, but the calls keep coming.  Today I got a representative and asked for their business address.  She hung up.

Too many calls 3 and 4 aday now. Do not call list isn't working anymore !

Safer to have none!!!   I still get these calls even though I own zero credit cards.  I've asked repeatedly to be removed from list, only to be cursed at and hung up on.  So now I just hit "1" when they call and give them choice words and hang up.  And your info on the credit card fraud is incorrect.  I know 3 people, one being my mother who went through it.  Some people luck out and some don't.  My mother was in surgery for a broken back and in the hospital for days when her fraud occurred.  Even after sending them copies of hospital paperwork and filing report with police, they didnt remove the charges.  It's bs!

3 once in awhile.. check my messages, usually there are none.

I have not stressed, jumped to answer the phone nor wasted any of MY time.

We all have problems with these basement dwellers.  Question is:  How do we stop them completely?  Is there not some governmental agency that can handle this?  If not, is there not someone at this mickey mouse company that can be called to remove our number?  I would love to see...and would pay....them pay for this in fines and legal action.
