Called no voicemail definitely SPAM gonna block the number.

Just got a call- didn't answer. ID said United States

I live in Alabama.  Whoever it is they just called me at 1:34pm CST from Centreville, MS.  Added them to my block list.

Called my CELL # which is on the DoNotCall - a female recording purportedly offering to lower my 'student loan.'  Like I paid it off over 20 years ago. Like most in this thread, agree that this is a scammer. IMHO, the FTC is useless in doing something about this fragrant lawlessness. How about let the IRS deal with these crooks?

Had to answer the phone call because I'm looking for a phone call. Got an automated message telling me about some student loan forgiveness thing that passed in Congress. Press 1 to hear more, Press 5 to opt out of this offer. I hung up.

601 area code is Mississippi, not Bama but, unwanted calls are unwanted regardless of where they originate.
