They called at 6:05 this morning. I went to bed at 3:30 & did not appreciate the call. I did not answer but checked CID. Can anything be done about this?

Same here - called, no message. Added to call blocker box - plenty of room left on it!

Got a call around 9:40 pm today and nobody at the other end.

Received a phone call from 601-748-4003 at 7:00 a.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015. I answered, no one responded, then after several seconds, the call was ended at the caller's end.

Got this call 02/07/2015, 6:30 PM, Caller ID displays as Brookhaven, MS. Caller hung in there for 6 rings but left no voicemail.

The number reflected on your caller ID is a "spoof" number. Unfortunately for them,  they contacted a secure location and all incoming calls whether they be VOIP, cellular, satellite or landline are automatically traced to their point of origin. A team will be visiting them shortly. This is still America and we will protect our people.

Do send us a postcard from the foreign 3rd world country you're visiting. You know, the one's that could care less about scammers scamming Americans.

I do not know or deal with any company, friends, or relatives in that area.

The usual we don't answer and they don't leave a message.   We just ignore calls from numbers we don't recognize, but it never ends.

I have received multiple calls.  You can report the number to the FCC, but they do nothing.  The phone companies are incapable.  I would seem that the FCC, upon a number of complaints about the same number would or could locate the number's holder and send a warning - further complaints and an automatic shut-off.  It will never end unless we demand the FCC come up with a system that actually works to cut these less than BOZOs off.

Caller id showed wireless caller and this # - calling a business, we have the answer the phone.  Answered the call coming in from this number - dead air space.

They just called my business.  I didn't answer it.

Actually, anyone can have a fake number on call display. You can have an app on cellphone for that, but more likely, it is an automated machine calling from a computer.

(I do have an app like that on my cellphone, for when I suspect someone is avoiding me for money reason.)

FYI: I got my mom to change to walmarts straight talk home phone uses verizion cell system, got new number to stop robocallers (and it did)  final cost $100 for equipment and 16.80/month unlimited voice calls.
