I get these calls at least once a day.  I have asked them to stop calling, but nothing seems to work.  I am now on-line to try to find a way to stop the calls.

Have been getting calls every day and night from caller ID "Higginbotham" at (602) 515-0189.  Finally answered tonight thinking it might be someone trying to get in touch with us.  My wife got the survey explanation and she said she wasn't interested and the woman on the other end hung up on her without even saying "thank you" or "goodbye".

Thanks to previous advice on this site, I went and filed a complaint at the National Do Not Call Registry, since we've been registered there since 2006. (just verified that as well on their website).

I've received calls each night for the last week from Higginbotham.  I answered yesterday and told them I didn't have time to take their survey.  Before I hung up I was asked if this number was my home number.  Creepy...  I received another call tonight and was asked the same question.  I politely asked to be taken off their list and I was told by at this point an angry telemarketer that he did not have "a list".  Then he hung up on me.  I will be contacting the do not call website and sending an email to the the president of Higginbotham.

Called 4 straight nights between 8:45 and 9:00 pm.  Told them we were on the No Call List, they said they were exempt.  BS.  We asked them a 2nd time to remove our name or we will file a complaint with the FCC, haven't heard from them.

Received a call from these folks last night.  I was in the process of telling an older lady to take us off the list but she hung up on me.  I emailed the jim.higginbotham@higginbotham-research.com email that FedUp had left above to take me off the list.  A fellow called back from the same number a couple of hours ago today.  I told him we were on the do not call list, and he said they are not selling anything and that they do not have to check the list.  I told him that people like me who subscribe to the list don't want to be bothered by ANYONE, even if our spineless legislators might allow them a loophole to call.  I also told him if he would honor the list he wouldn't be wasting his time calling folks like me who refuse to cooperate in any way.  He said his computer system would not allow him to remove my number if I did not answer his silly qiestions.  I told him that I refuse to answer his questions and if he called me back I would take whatever actions against Higgenbotham that I could.

They just called again and this time I told the man to stop calling me.  I told him that I am on the dnc list and have already reported him.  All he kept saying was "just take the survey ma'm and I'll take you off the list. What a jerk

Started calling about a week ago on a daily basis.  Whether you're on the DNC registry or not, once you tell them to quit calling, they have to abide by that.  Otherwise it's considered harrassment and is unlawful.  Tell the little @#$&* to take you off their list and that you aren't giving them any information and that you are filing a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission).  When you file the complaint (which is very easy to do and can be done online), send the FTC the link to this page so they can see how many people this company is harrassing...trust me, they'll get them to stop.

Called for the tenth time. I was finally able to answer the call. Reamed the caller a new a$$40i> for the repeated calls. Told her I had filed a complaint with the states attorney generals office for harassing calls as well as the BBB. Hasn't called since.

Called today for first time @ 8:37PM. Number did not pop up on called ID but according to other posts, this is Higgenbotham research in Arizona.

I listed my phone number in Californa's do not call registry several weeks ago and am wondering if this protects me from callers based outside of my state.

I, too, have been receiving calls from this number and didn't know who Higginbotham was, and I REFUSE to answer it.   Never left messages and so I also googled this number and found this website.  Thanks for providing this website - learn a lot of great information and who and what to avoid!!!

KEEPS CALLING BUT LEAVING NO MESSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone. I can assure you, this is not a sales call or any kind of scam. It truly is independent market research. I know because I used to work there. When they generate their 'list' of numbers, all they do is have a computer randomly create a certain amount of phone numbers and then the employees go at it.

it is about a 30 minute survey for a skilled interviewer or 60 minutes for someone who may be a little slow, but the reason they don't have to check the DNC list is because it is a randomly generated number to be used for a survey on TV, radio, and internet.

You know how radio stations will state they have the highest lister base among 25-35 year olds, or public radio will state their numbers among 50+ year olds are declining so they run a telethon? This is where they get the information.

As for asking to be removed from the list, many of you seemed to have a bad experience with a specific caller, and that is unfortunate, because there are many honest people there who will immediately remove your number once you request it.

I just wanted to shed a little light on this since I was on this site looking up an actual scam and I had a little insight into the company.

Got a call at 12:37 pm eastern.  I did not pick up because I didn't recognize the name which was "Higginbotham".  They did not leave a message.  This was the first time, I believe, that we have received a call from this number

I have received multiple calls from this number.  They never leave a message on answering machine, and I never picked up.  I got curious after the 5th or 6th call, so I googled it and came up with this site.  I'm glad I found this site, this has satisfied my curiosity on these calls.
