Fake call asking for employee then the name, they had wrong number and wrong name,

It actually is the CRA. I was very suspicious so I called the central number for CRA that I got from the government website. It was some minor question on a form I sent in. However the woman at CRA did caution me that fraud people can duplicate a number and it could be a fraud call so it is best to call back to CRA on a 1-800 number that you get from the government website.  And the woman at CRA did ask numerous questions to make sure I was who I said it was. So that was good!

It's a SCAM!

It IS a scam. I called the CRA fraud number and they confirmed it.  They will NEVER ask for your SIN number.  They will always contact you by mail first and foremost about ANY issue.  The letter will give you your case file number, the correct number to call, a brief description of the problem with any history and what specific documents, if any, to have on hand to discuss.  This was direct from the CRA fraud line everyone.

He claimed to have sent me a letter about the GST on a house I sold. I would owe this GST.

Attempted to call 604 691 0576, and a recorded message played with a ladies voice... "I am Lynn, leave your social insurance number and telephone number for me, as I only work Wednesday through Friday".

Got a call and it was a legit CRA person about student loans. They provide a 1-800 number you can call them back on and it's the same one as the CRA website.

Got a Call from Canada Revenue Agency asking about an employee.  They have called before and I won't give them information.  They sent a letter and it wasn't from CRA at all!!!!  It was from a collection agency.   CRA does not call businesses asking if someone works there!!!  This is a collection agency or a scam!!  Never ever give out your Social Insurance Number, bank account numbers or any personal information!!!

This is 100% a fraudulent call of scammers who just want your personal information so they can steal your information. Do not under any circumstances give this number your information.

Claims they are CRA but when I asked if they could prove it they got mad and hung up on me. If they leave you a voicemail they ask you to call back at 1-800-661-5991. I've called the real CRA at their actual number 1-800-959-8281, which btw a real CRA agent automatically will provide you their notification ID number at the beginning of the call and these scammer did not. Anyways, real CRA did not recognize the 604 or the 661-5991 number in their systems.

It's actually an identity theft scam.  I've confirmed with the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre.  www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca You can call, provide the number which is given, and they'll confirm it.

It is a scam, 100% they called me with information that was correct, revenue canada does not call you it is a fact..when i called them private at night i told him he is a scammer, and he disconnected the phone. Tried with a new number,, the call is coming from Kansans city.  I called the government office and yes it is a SCAM!!! BEWARE OF ANY ONE WHO WANTS INFORMATION OVER A PHONE. NEVER GIVE OUT INFORMATION TO ANY ONE.

It is a scam as they have contacted me and I refused to give SIN and said I would call them back directly. Called CRA and they said there is nothing on my account. No notes on calls or anything. Informed me it was a scam by number listed.
