Somehow these a$$holes are getting past my call blocker - the number is blacklisted and you also have to announce yourself to get through.  Have over 50 calls in the past week - no message and I have rejected/blacklisted each call received while at home.

Did not say anything, and hung up after about 20 sec.

This number is NOMOROBO's number calling when the first call was made by a live person and entered the random number (like CAPTCHA) which allows a real person to get through the NOMOROBO system. There will be two calls back to back, the 608-371-6666 number is NOMOROBO completing the call. It is usually a live telemarketer.

Called and left NO message.  When the number is dialed, immediately a canned recording is played, "Hello, thank you for calling the NoMoRobo report line. Please enter the number that called you and press the pound sign when you're finished."  Since the number listed as "calling" is in fact the Nomorobo report line, then clearly the TRUE caller is a nefarious SCAM/SPAM entity that uses a bit more sophisticated Number Spoofing algorithm.  If anyone actually has the Nomorobo service, you should report this to them so they can make their detectors more sophisticated!  DO NOT ANSWER!

If you have Nomorobo on your phone (to stop those pesky robo calls), when a suspected robo call comes through your phone will ring once and Nomorobo will play a message asking if you're human type in a code. If the code is entered, the call is allowed through and shows the 608-371-6666 phone number. If you Google the number, the Nomorobo help desk page should be the first item you see and will explain everything. I hope this helps, I thought it was a scam call too.

I have nomorobo and I blocked the nomorobo number with my call blocker.   The Call that nomorobo let thru which came in a minute before the nomorobo number showed up but since it comes up unknown with that 6666 last four digits it looks funny so I blocked it accidentally with my call blocker personally I don't care if it is a robocaller or some live scumbag.  The call is not getting thru to disturb me.  the call was from Garbage debt collector in Houston Texas.  I live in Ohio Thank you.  If I have a debt I am not going to pay some scumbag from out of State.

I accidentally blocked the nomorobo number with my call blocking device.  If the call is from a live person it probably still is a suspected scumbag or spammer.  Which was the case because my caller id showed a call 1 minute before the nomorobo call.

877-345-0897 was the first number that no robo blocked and then they called from 608-371-6666. I answered and before I could say hello, they advised the call was being recorded and then asked for someone not at this location. I advised wrong number and hung up. I could hear them still talking.

IF they were legit they wouldn't be calling my number at 7:20PM.  Twice.  From two different numbers, the first one, an 866 number got blocked by nomorobo.  They immediately called back from this 608 number, getting through the call blocker and let it ring.  IF they were legit, they wouldn't be calling me at all and would respect the DNC list.  IF they were legit, they wouldn't even HAVE my phone number as I have never suffered from sleep apnea and I do not take any medications whatsoever.  All of which means simply that they're FREAKING CRIMINALS upon whom I wish sleep deprivation and great bodily harm.

OK, so we use NoMoRo now and nuisance calls have been dramatically reduced. This number jrang once, no message as per usual. Many thanks to all who posted here alerting that this is a proxy number used for scammers who get through their Captcha system. A moment after this call, another - this time blocked as usual. From now on,  will recognize this NoMoRo alert # for what is is.

This number is what displays when this blocking service allows a live caller to input a captcha and pass through the call.
I would suggest when your unwanted call is blocked by this service and still gets through, report the actual number that was blocked in the thread for that number and not this one, as nobody who gets a call will know about it if they don't use this service.

I always look at my phone log to see who it was, since I know this number is merely the blocking service's number. If you have an online account with your phone service, it should display within a few mins to a half hour, depending on your carrier. Otherwise you won't know until your statement arrives in the mail. Look for this number (608-371-6666) and the number just before it will be the actual number that called, the time should be within a minute of each other.
That message was meant mostly for people who DO know it was a different number that called, as seen in many posts here.

This number gets past the nomorobo and rings constantly.

Call from this number caused our landline to be busy for over an hour this morning.

Victor probably from India wanting to talk to me about my computer.  They tweaked the message by not mentioning Microsoft.  Immediately hung up.
