number given as call back number (800-387-3614) for a research group called Neilson and behalf of Mcgladrey & Moody...never headr of any of them

Canada has a national Do Not Call list and anyone can go online and register their home and cell phone numbers to this list. Don't bother with them at all just go online and register. Within 30 days you will stop receiving calls. well, of course they called again. Not really surprised. Informed "Ben Smith" we were not interested and had requested not to be called again. Also stated they have now been reported.

Received phone call from 613-230-9316 - a duct cleaning service.  I told them that we were on a do not call list and should not be receiving unsolicited calls.  I asked him where he was calling from - said near Victoria Park, Scarborough, Ontario.  Cannot prove if he is telling the truth or not.  Gentleman had an Indian accent, very pleasant and not pushy.  Asked him to take our phone number off their call list - we rent our home and our landlord would take care of any duct cleaning (which he never has and never will!!).  Hopefully they respect our request.

This number called, self claimed from Montreal. I asked why the number is from Ottawa area, she answered "don't know". It claimed the call was for a "Globe Environmental Survey".  

Looks like a duct cleaning fraud posing as a survey.

If anyone can locate these people and blowup their building with them in it I would be very happy. They are below scum and should be terminated before they spread. The do not call people can't (or won't) do anything and the phone companies can't either. so F'em

they called and let it ring 3 times before they hung up... I don't know anyone in Canada that has my phone #.

I got a phone call from this number they said that was one of the Banks that sounds scam.

These people called more than several times but I NEVER answered the phone.  They finally stopped.  That is the secret.  Stop answering phone numbers that you don't recognize.  If it is important, whoever is calling will leave a message.  It is the only way to stop these nuisance calls.
