has called 4 times this week, never leaves a message

called twice so far - asks for me by name.  then nothing...

Calls several times a day.  Always leaves a message saying, "hello? hello?" When I try to call the number back it says the call can not be completed at this time.

Called and asked for me by name then asked about my security system

Called our house too.  Asked for the man of the house. When told he couldn't come to the phone they just hung up.  When we tried to call the number we also received the message that the call could not be completed at this time.  Weird!  Don't people have better things to do with their life?  Don't answer that.

also received a call asking about security... now nervous that they may be targeting house to break into.. anyone have any issues?

That's exactly what we had too.  I can also say that the English of the speaker is almost not decipherable.  Middle Eastern, Indian or Arabian perhaps.

They called once and asked about my adt system, I said I would not discuss my security with them, hung up. Called back a week later asked about my ge system, I told him to call my security system provider, said ok and hung up. I have heard that they are phishing to see if you have a system...I assume to then break in if you say no. Do not give them any information, very suspicious.

Called twice today in the space of 3 hours.   I answered the 2nd time.   A man with with a strong Indian accent asked for me by name and then explained that his name was Chris and he worked for GE, who manufactured our alarm system.   He said that according to his records I had had my alarm system for over three years it was time to upgrade.   When I explained that I lived on a military base and didn't have an alarm system, he called me a b@#$% and hung up.

They phone several times a week, never leave a voice mail, hang up on me if I ask them to remove me from their list.  I too am afraid they are just trying to find out who has and who does not have home security.  No way to find the company name from reverse phone lookup without paying.

Got a call from this number this morning.  I have caller ID on my phones and rarely pick up unless I know who is calling.  I can then type in the number into a search box and find out who it is.  Thanks to all of you who write up their experiences.

Said they were calling to update my ADT system and seeing it was a 614 number, I was not on guard and Like an idiot told them I didn't have a security system. They hung up. Tried to call them back but get an error. Other sites say the same caller will identify as either GE or ADT. Kari, I did the exact same thing.  Being a local number my guard was down and when I questioned why they were calling since I don't have an alarm system, I regretted it the second I said it.  Now I have been stressed all day about it.  Thanks for the link - I submitted a complaint to the Ohio AG.

I received a call today on my answering machine. He had broken English and kept saying "Hello, Hello" asked for me by last name. Ugh!  I'm a little worried.  At first I thought it was my son's school because it was a local number.  The way he was talking he made it sound really important.

Same exact thing happening here. Now they stressed my kids out. Highly upset. Called the times in the last hour.

They called me three times in a couple minutes--didn't answer--same people as before just a different number

Called here again today.  I called back and also received this call cannot be completed message.
