Lady said she was from ADT Security.  I get this call at least twice a month.  Screamed at her to quit calling me.  She hung up.

It would seem to me that this is a bogus operation pretending to be something they are not.

Called my parents. Said it was their oldest grandson. In Vegas. In a car accident. "I was in a car accident grandma!"  Asked for money.

Luckily my son is in Korea and they know it!!  Hope nobody falls for this.

Mumbled person couldn't understand anything trying to sound like a wee toddler on phone & hung up.

But my folks have received a call  like Mjottii got where the young man calls saying they flew out to vegas & rented a car & got into an accident & was went to the hospital & was in jail & needed money.

I have been receiving calls from this number for a while now and I decided to pick up tonight. I stupidly told the woman we didn't have any alarm system.....ugh. just as soon as the words came out I freaked, I knew I shouldn't have said anything. The woman immediately hung up. Now I a m even more freaked! We have very little to begin with since I lost my job .

I have received the same call; however, I would advise that you never identify you are the person they are asking for.  As a key note as well you should never continue a conversation about security systems as I suspect that they could be potentially monitoring your house for burglary  and if you should identify you do not have a security system then you have now become an easy target.  Additionally, if the person asks for a man of the house then typically they are trying to identify as well for burglary purposes whether you are once again an easy victim for them. In the end, it could simply just be a very bad telemarketing scam but ultimately do not share any information with anyone over the phone.  Happy Holidays!  

Called and started their script. I told her to f off and quit calling. then she did again just a few seconds later. I then blasted an air horn into the phone and stated i will keep blasting the air horn at them and any other dumb ass telemarketer.  I also put the number into my government issued blocking/tracking device that is supposed to help catch these violators to prosecute.  ADT even stated that they themselves would never call my home and offer any sort of service. So I know these [***] are definitely scammers.  But even after doing that, the phone, and that machine will register the number and start tracing it back. And this idiot tried to call a few more times, which just helps us to track them down.  I saw that the blocker tracer thing actually did/does work the way it's supposed to.  Which is great because my number is plagued by these idiot [***] at least 6 times a day every day, even on weekends.  And the wife doesn't want to change our number, which is stupid if you ask me because I hate these [***] enough to want to cause physical harm to each and every one of them.

Just received a call from this number claiming to be ADT Promotions department.  They asked if I had a security system with monitoring for more than 3 years.  They were offering a free system upgrade and up to 40% off on monitoring costs.  They wanted to confirm my name and address and would call me back in 24 hours to give all the program details.  I asked them why they didn't know how much I was currently paying or what my Customer Number was.  They could not explain why they did not have this information.   When I challenged the caller as to the physical location they were calling from -  they struggled to come up with a physical address.  I called ADT and confirmed this was a scam.  Please be careful of such calls!!

Answered -- no one there. Called back and it gave a "the party you called did not answer, please try again later" message.

They also use another phone #513-488-1099. The numbers are all spoofed so sense in trying to call them back. They're scammers wanting personal information. Don't give them any.
