I received this call on my new cell phone...  I called them back to have my number removed from their list, but still get a call every day.  These are harassing phone calls, and I am going to end up changing my number for my cell which will cost me extra that I cannot afford right now.  I just want them to leave me alone. They gave the number to call 616-555-1234, which is a directory assistance call.

    Thanks

    Carla Barnes

definitely a scam - if they are wanting to make sure your card wasn't maxed before asking for your card number??  amazing how low some people would go to steal from you right under your nose and I feel sorry for those who fall for it.

They keep calling me as well..  And it is my support phone for work it is company number.... so has nothing to do with my charge card...  push 1 to remove from calling list... blah blah blah...  but it does not work - they keep calling.   And what it really annoying is I can not ignore any phone calls since it is the support phone..    If they call me at 4am I have to check the phone....  I wish I could get there phone number at home and call them every day too....

I just got a call from them too. I'm in Colorado and I got a call from them! How absurd. I also don't even have a bloody credit card. Such stupidity.

Called on my cell and I'm in KY. I plan on signing up their number on every sweepstakes, sales call request, magazine subscription order, and church witnessing request I can lay my hands on. Why don't you all do the same?

Work at a Utility Company in CNY....They periodically call all our work phones, all the calls are normally with in a 24 hour period.  It can be annoying if you can't really ignore you phone calls (Utility company...possible emergency).

No message left, suspect it is a company "offering" to lower my interest rates or debt consolidation something or another.  My cell phone should be exempt from this...will have to update my do not call list again...

If anyone finds out what there address is please post it so I can arrange to pull there plug for good.

I am in Wyoming, I received a call from this number, only the 2nd unsolicated call on my cell phone in 5 years!  I did not answer however the calls apparently due to a credit report agency or collection agency selling their phone number database or the credit reporting outfit doing the same. e late in paying a medical bill recently when I was out of town for 3 months and the medical service I was late with obtained it from Blue Cross and it got passed around.  The credit outfit then sales their phone number database.  I am getting a copy of my credit reports from all three free credit report agencies and see which one turned it over.  You need to change the number on your cell phone as once a number gets out you will get many unsolicited calls.

Just got a call from this #. Haven't called back YET. Think I may call and tell them my name is Obama and they can help me reduce my debt! Then maybe the a**hole on the other end can get a real job when the economy turns back around and leave me the hell alone!

Interesting to read these posts about this same phone number.  Also interesting that I would receive a call with no message just a week or two after we got a hospital bill that we'll have to pay in increments, so the hospital gave our info to a company who is not a collections agency who will hold the bill while we make good on it as we can. I read the other Wyoming person's post, and I'm inclined to call my hospital and the secondary holding company and ask who sold my info.  With land lines, an option used to be to forward a phone number on to the FCC immediately after getting a call from that same number.  Wonder if Verizon offers anything like that?
