Yes, I have received this call as well.  However, I answered and their claims for are true.  The lady you deal with is extremely rude and won't work with you to help you pay anything off.  When I asked to speak to someone higher up (even under her) she refused.  I finally checked the Michigan Bar Association and he is a real attorney and I also found his number.  It is:

Hopefully this help others of you when dealing with this.  It is extremely frustrating as I am trying to pay this off and she refuses to help.  I finally called and left a direct message with Richard Lobbes.

Sent payment to settle my account and they sent it to Richard Lobbes office. Contacted the number and it has been a nightmare since. Holly the Secretary is hospitable. Michelle is a mule. Told one thing and she does another without notice, blows you off, does return phone calls, but overall she just doesn't work with you. Reneged on an agreement and turned things to her terms without notice.

You will have difficulties dealing with this office. Give yourself plenty of time and or have lots of money.

These people must hate their life. They are the rudest people I have ever spoke to. I want to pay them off entirely and they won't return my calls ever. Then they add new charges every week. I imagine Michelle should be very scared as far as karma is concerned. She is a LIAR. I almost feel bad for her. I think she gets a bonus for adding new charges. I imagine she sits around trying to think of new ones to pull out of her ass. I imagine it's probablly very large.

i recently had to deal with them also..they set up a payment agreement with me and then took me to court and a judgement went against me ....you cannot trust anything they say

I wasn't disputing the payment, but the reason for the bill was for an "incomplete abortion" according to the billing department at the hospital. I am not paying for an incomplete abortion when it was a miscarriage. It just shows that no one can afford health care in the United States if attornies have to get involved to get payment. Don't they have an ambulance to chase or a criminal to get off?

Yes I have had the same problem she does not work with you, even after I have been paying on this bill she has garnished my husband's bank account her name is Michelle  she is rude and I wish that something could be done about this.

This has been happening to us and that's the number. I am a azed that a place like Spectrum Health Services would use this character to represent them.

An "incomplete abortion" is the medical term for a miscarriage. An abortion can be considered spontaneous or elective, and is termed as such for medical terminology.

However, if this information is showing up on your bill from the hospital and they released it to a 3rd party, you may be able to reverse sue under HIPAA because they have now violated your right to patient privacy.

The people at this number calls on a weekly basis. Sometimes daily. I'd asked them to not call but they always do.

I'm also being harrased by this so-called lawyer. My dentist told me I would be charged $200 for a procedure partially through the work he, Dr. Micheal Dadd DDS, went out of business, never completed the work and to top it off. I got a bill for over $1000 dollars. I tried to contact the quack to no avail.
I then started to get calls from the same number as the rest of you. I also tried to call the cranky B*#^&# on the phone. The one time I actually spoke to someone I was told to fax my response to her and she would handle it and it would end there.
Needless to say I too was sued without me being present and my wages garnished, I tried to find the cowardly b#%^% and found all of the phone numbers are unlisted and the office in Zeeland, he hasn't worked there for four years.

I have been paying on this bill from my neurologist for quite some time now, and he had the guts to call me and tell me that I have to pay more money each week, or he was taking me to court. I told him "please please do take me to court, I would love to show the judge the cancelled checks that they have cashed, because I have been sending them anywhere from 50.00 to 100.00 EVERY WEEK!!! This guy is a real [***]!!! (His little snotty receptionists are quite the piece of work too!! This man needs to be put in a financial situation , then maybe they won't talk to people like their crap don't stink.....(their farts give them away)!!

I recieved no calls just a court paperwork which I was not certain abut because my daughter had Medicaid at the time of the inncident and they too garnished my wages . . Although I got a hold of them immediately and they have been the people I have paid all of my Spectrum Bills through. I have Erica and she is really on the ball. She returns my calls, helps me out, gives me leeway if needed. I was upset at first too . . but it is getting my bills paid and Erica is a wonder to work with. Sorry for all of you that have had a horrible experience.

got a summons from these people and its not even my bill.  I called them back after they called me several months ago and told them that fact and they ignored what I said and told me pay or they will take me to court.  I even told them the bill they were referring to was a bill from my ex and a court order was in effect that says she has to pay it.  They said...its your bill and you will pay it.  This is a joke and violates several federal and local laws.  I have contacted the attorney general to look into this.
