Received automated call from AGI... another telemarketing pest...

their toll free is 877-223-1931. they call from hundreds of different numbers and its all a scam. call the toll free and give em back a piece of your mind. if its busy its because they are closed or not taking calls on that toll free number right now. i work for AT&T and i know how this all works. they can turn that toll free on and off when they want so if its off u get a busy network signal or a full mailbox. i am posting this on all the threads related to them on this site.

They called at 8:48 pm and said it was about my HSBC credit card. He said  that because I am a valued member I would be receiving, in the next few days,...  

I interrupted him and said "Member?  What do you mean "member"?  It's just a credit card."

He hung up on me.

THANK YOU!!! I called, it was to reinstate a warranty on a vehicle. I said, "Thank you, I 'm not interested." and was HUNG UP ON!!!!! RUDE!!!!!

i told them i have never bought a new car, the lady said "well, you can always put a warranty on your old car"  GAWDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

i just bought 2 new cars. i dont DO BUSINESS WITH SCUM BAGS that call on the phone.

They have called 18 times in the past 2 hours. The lat time there was a person who said my insurance had lapsed anmd I needed to buy or I cant drive my car.

AGI is a telemarketing agency apparently working for Wells Fargo (Bank).  So if you have a mortgage with, or bank with Wells Fargo they can call you. They are using an auto call system, so if you answer there will be a pause before they ask for you (and yes, they have your info if you do business with Wells Fargo). Just tell them not to call. Then write Wells Fargo and tell them to put you on their do not call list.

They call morning noon and night and even on weekends all times.

Called back, and they seem to offer an opt-out option. We'll see if that works or not. So far, they've called at least 20 times and hang up when the machine comes on.

I received three calls in one day, didn't answer because didn't recognized the number. I files a complaint on the following site http://www.donotcall.gov.

The best thing to do for everyone who doesn't want unsolicted telephone calls is to REGISTER with the National Do Not Call List.  It's simple.  Then each time you get a call (after your number has been registered for 31 days), file a complaint.  That's easy, too.  If I understand the law correctly, this Insurance Company can be fined a lot of money for violating this law.  You can also simply call back the number and be put on THEIR do not call list, but something tells me that if they don't honor the national DNC list, there isn't much incentive for them to honor their own.

I have gotten several calls from "AGI".  They never leave a message.  The 616 area code indicates that they are located in Grand Rapids, MI.  I assume it must be a telemarketer.
