I spoke to a police officer about this and he said it's a scam, they are trying to get your information to rob you later on.  he told me that if this was a serious matter a sheriff would show up at your door with paper work.  I just ignore the calls, i started to have them go to my rejected list so it doesn't even ring. :)

Called them back and gave up after 39 minutes on hold. The call wasn't even for me.  It was for the guy who lived in an apartment before me over 8 years ago. I have since moved, I don't know him, never met him and he never had this phone number. Collection agencies just pull up any old phone# associated with a known address for a debtor without checking to see who has that #. I get these kind of call often. It's exasperating to say the least

What happend when you reported these peopl?

My husband recieved the same call 6 times. Have reported all 6. SCAM SCAM SCAM!

I received a call today as well about a restraining order, but the contact name was unclear, so I could not even tell who they were calling for! Since we do not live in Massachusetts, and all the residents at our home are... well, boring and never break the law or bother anyone, I thought perhaps it was a wrong number - until I investigated. This has to be some sort of scam, but for what???

I got the same call more than once, also left a message at my mothers house which i havent lived at for 21 years. Funny they say contact a lawyer, restaining order within 48 hours, received the call last week, then again this week. A lot longer than 48 hours. I also called back and was on hold forever twice, then the same man hung up on me. It is annoying. I said the same thing if i did something wrong a police officer would show up at my door.  I would love to report them if i knew who to report them to.

This number calls me and say I have a restraining order aganist me and to call my lawyer with 24-48 he's. Here I am worried and five months pregnant and I called the number three times and get a live male and it seems as though everytime I get him something happens with the phone and I get disconnected. This is really weird they called my name by my maiden name and I'm wondering what is really going on. Hope these calls stop I too know that at least someone would serve me papers if it was that important. And a restraining order against me please to who or what they need to get a life.

I just received a all from tem as well. Basically the same crap....  They also called my mothers home looking for me but the funny part is thy still have me under my maiden name and I haven't lived att parents home now for 9 years. Some how they did getting new cell number, not sure how.

I filed a complaint at the FTC, atty general office of MA that is where they are supposed to calling from. They atty general office stayed they needier complaints in order for them to investage. Please everyone file one and let's get these scam artist shut down and let's hope thy will rot in jail!!!!

These people have called twice with two
different recordings. First was a vpo against
someone and this time an affidavit to show
up in court. Did some calling and no such case
number found.

My sister-in-law and brother who live in Fla.  got a call from this number about me.  It worried them and they called me so I could comply to the number..they even left a investigation number A-43C-2353...said I would need a attorney..and that I needed to comply within 48 hours..I have never done anything wrong in my life...this worried me so much...this sorta of things need to stop.

How and who do we contact to investigate this?

Got a similar message - first of all:  NO ONE FILES A RESTRAINING ORDER for a money judgment case.  Think about where you hear of those?  Could it be:  HARASSMENT, THREATS OF BODILY HARM, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE??  et al  that YOU have threatened against someone else.  Did YOU threaten or harass them?  Technically, the one doing the harassing is the one calling and making idle threats on your telephone (especially out of the blue) over something they have no jurisdiction anyway in MA to uphold in another State.  A lawsuit must be filed in the State of YOUR residence to stick so that you have the ability to go and defend yourself if it is real.   Furthermore, in most States it is illegal to have a debt collector contact  you if they are not even licensed to do business in your State. (for those who love challenging and causing strife I must repeat in MOST States)  Each State varies but my State does not allow ANYONE to do that sort of business (or any other) without being a legally licensed business recognized by the State to conduct business in that State.  THIS IS A SCAM!  Also, in my message they didn't even wait for the machine to pick up properly so the recording bot left half a message - again - sloppy work there for a "potential" lawsuit.

This is a scam company. Don't waste your time to contact them.

I did further research and found a Restraining Order in some States can be utilized as a levy against a bank account.  But an Order to Show Cause must have at least an Order for Disclosure ahead of it and further that can't be done without there even being first a money judgment filed in a given State.  Quipping these items over a phone and in a message that is robotic and not the full message but half of one not even identifying who they are first is not considered ethical.  Let alone enforceable.  The call originates in MA - well a check in their public records in my name does not even show such a judgment was even opened period.  And if this call from MA is for something in another State then for certain we have what is considered suspect.  Like SUSPECT IT IS A SCAM!

he called and had automated system say I was going to jail and they were freezing all my assets and to call or press option to talk to some one and gave ref #. well I have spoke to 5 different people and they all say that I will be served in 24-48 hours, but then it will be today---I asked who the attorney was on file and got 2 diff names and when I asked for the # to practice in mass they hung up----I also told them that I would have my attorney contact them and give the direct line they said they cant do that just need to call this # with ref # and the cops will come and arrest me today.....they say this is from august 2007 and I didn't even have this phone # at that time so how did they get it-----also they gave me false names of the people I talked to since they wont give it you at the time of the call....robin brooks is to be the office supervisor and when I spoke to her and told her that I wasn't going to jail and they can all my attorney she was hateful and said see you in court in orange.....I said well whatever because you all cant give clear information on this and there is a legal collections filing period to do this and you are over the limit and also send me stuff in the mail that you have on file and they also advised they didn't have to----cant speak to the attorney but the can and hung up----if everyone just calls the back as much as I did and raise h*** then maybe it will be stopped,........mad as h***-----

Someone from this number called my Brother in Michigan, and I live in Alabama at the same address for the past 17 years stating they had a civil complaint against me. They called my cell number again which I have had the same number since 2005, and upon calling it back was placed on hold indefinitely. They answered as some type of government agency. Do I need to hire a lawyer. I know no one in Massachutes, Boston or Maine

Last I am aware...if you are part of a litigation...you must be "served" by way of processor or sheriff (depending on the area you live in) so I agree this is BS.

This is the second time they have called us regarding a member of the family who hasn't lived  with us in years.  They left a complaint number and said it involved a restraining order and that they would need to contact their attorney.  I called back and talked with a female; when I asked why they were calling  us and not the person in the complaint, told me to get info to him.  I then asked who was filing the complaint - she told me again to get info to him - then abruptly HUNG UP.  Now how professional is that?  With so many complaints regarding this, I'm not sure they are a company, why isn't the Massachusetts Attorney General investigating them for harassment?  We live in Virginia.

Got a call saying i owed money and a restraining order has been filled, gave a number on file, and ask me to hit #s 1-2-3, i hit 2 and was told to hold on, at that time i hung up.
