I rcvd a msg from this # but my experience was a little different.  The heavy foreign accent stated I owed money and told me to call back "NOW".. or otherwise have an attorney ready.  He stated that if I didn't call back that he wanted to wish me good luck.   Unbelievable....lol

A man with a very African accent called saying he was with Microsoft and my computer was infected with malware.  He asked if I was aware offered my some code,so I played along and kept interrupting him with the wrong numbers.  Then I told him I was surprised Microsoft was so on the ball especially since I don't have a computer with windows.  He said oh and hung up.  Absolutely a SCAM.

You're the first person I've seen other than me reporting this phone number & a UPS related scam. Two callers claiming to be from UPS. First caller had blocked ID. Second showed this #. First caller said "I have a check for you would want." The way he said it sounded like "the check" "kinda fell off the back of a truck".  I said "No, you don't!" How would a driver or dispatch center know the contents of a package? He said "We've got bad reception." & hung up. Second caller from above number said he was "Kevin Peterson" was from UPS & wanted to know if I were available. When I asked for the tracking #, he hung up. Reported to UPS. UPS said not any of their #'s. Call area code is over 1,000 miles away from me. Now THAT'S a dedicated driver! Ha!

I received the same call today. I was very worried and confused.

Called my cell today from MA, (automated voice said my name) and person said that I would get court summons unless I called them, as my Name and Soc security number were linked to fraudulent activity. Gave a case no and a completely different number (385-232-7228) to call for a "waiver" of the summons. I didn't answer; played voicemail.

I just got my 5th voicemail from them saying that.....

Just called and told me my computer was compromised and my passwords could be seen - told him that was unlikely - when I told him I worked in technology area he started dropping f bombs on me - definitely a scam call.  asked him what the password was that he could see - could not answer that one - hung up

Said I had won the Mega millions- very thick accent- became abusive when I wouldn't give my credit card number to verify my winnin's

This is a scam

Frightening to see how many different scams are operated from the same number. Block!!

Debt collection company

He called me to let me know he was coming to my house to find me. He told me he thought I was pretty and cannot wait to meet me. Now he continues to call me saying he is in love with me.

Call from this number saying I got a rant from the government for 40,000 dollars and rmto go to the nearest Western Union.

Received a call from this number stating he was from US Police Department and said I need to surrender myself or call him back (at a different number) to rectify the situation.  If I don't call back they will take legal actions against me.  I could hear many voices in background, like a call center.  The man who left message had a very strong accent.  I called the number back that came in on my phone and recording says its disconnected.

this number called me 2 times back to back and I didn't answer and when I called the number back just to see who it was it said that the number I was calling was no longer in serves.

Same thing, but the VM was static-filled. Tried calling number back, said number is disconnected. SCAM!!!

I got a call from this number stating they were from Microsoft IT. He couldn't even speak English. They are scammers. They hung up on me once I told them I was not giving them any information.

Just got a call from this number, they left a message stating my Social Security number had been involved in fraudulent activity and I was to either go to my local police department to surrender or call them back to get further detail on the matter. The man also said if I did not respond immediately they would have to take legal action.  The number they gave me to call them back was completely different and the number I received the call from, was located in Cambridge, MA.
