I just got a call from this number too. I called back and it said press 1 to be removed but didnt say who it was.

This is a Tele-spamm house!  They are fakeing (spoofing) the caller ID the number actually belongs to an inocent company.

These scam artists sell their services to unsuspecting companies telling them their marketing campaigns will generate business.  This is a variation of email spamm.  Small business owners should understand if you use a SCAM marketing service like this . . . it will kill your business.  I have submitted numerous FCC - Do Not Call complaints at www.donotcall.gov   Perhaps if enough of us submit formal complaints at Do Not Call.gov  maybe someday our government will actually do something and shut these scam artists down.

They do not care where you live or if your number is unlisted.

This is a criminal organization randomly looking for numbers to plug into stollen cell phones that they then re-sell (to drug dealers, thieves, illegals, terrorists, you name it).  Report them to the government now! www.donotcall.gov You can file a formal complaint.   By the way, the number they use is a stollen number of a ligitimate company.

Hopefully the authorities will catch up to them.

Just received a call from this number. The called ID says 01101617-778-6798. Didn't answer it, and will report to every watchdog link you guys have provided. I have a hard enough time avoiding these scammers calling my HOME phone, but NOW my cell? WTF!

Anyone get details on the actual company name/adress etc.... would love to find out who they are....

Can't believe other people got this call as well. I was at my work place in Wellesley, MA and I was eating lunch and I got this call around 12:30pm today. I picked up because I thought it was an overseas call at first, since the '+01' awkwardly showed up and I thought it was my cousins overseas. The recorded voice said: 'Hi, Im Diane' and then I hung up because I didnt want to be charged/billed for some unnecessary call.

Can't believe Im not the only one.

Report these scum to the FCC.  I found that someone calling themselves "Diane's Carpet Cleaning" was fined $10,000 in Iowa for violating the state's DNC list.

Called today...checked google for the number lookup and it says that this number 6177786798 is allegedly the fax number for Boston Financial Services.  So strange.

Just got this number on my cell. I don't pick up unknown callers because of this [***].

I also received a call on my cell phone. I put the number on my 'reject' call list for my cell. What good is a 'do not call list' when this keeps happening!!!

I received this call yesterday at 5:24pm EST. I was at work. I picked up because it's the same area code as mine, so I thought it was a friend. "Hello?" -silence- "Hello! My name's Diane!--" -click- Ughh. These people need to get lives.. and real jobs.

Automated dialing carpet cleaning advert. calling "do not call list".

Not only am I on a "Do Not Call" list, I'm using a cell phone.

No message left. Apparently telemarketer from Boston area.

GOt call a little while ago on cell - which as is everyone else on do not call list.  Didn't answer as I didn't recognize the number either! great waste of time that list it appears!

Got the call from these SOBs on my cell as well about 45 minutes ago... Problem with them apparently spoofing the number is I don't know just what to report...

Recvd 28 July 2009 at 16h00.  I'm on the donotcall.gov list.  

Spoke with nice polite lady, taking up as much of her time as I possibly could while enquiring about how they got my number (a friend referred me!  But I don't have any friends!), how to get off their call list, whether I could speak with a supervisor, about how she is very nice and just trying to make a living but that her employers are not ethical.

Carpet cleaning moronics called my cell phone...  I pressed "8" to be taken off the list, and filed complaints with the FTC and FCC...  Best of all, these fools are in Boston, we're in Chicago-area of IL...  And...wait for it... we don't have carpet in the house! Just hardwood floors...
