I called the Globe at 1-888-MY-GLOBE (1-888-694-5623) and asked them to stop harassing me by calling my house 5 times a day. The operator was kind enough to add my number to their do-not-call list. I hope this will  work.

I receive calls EVERYDAY from this #.
I blocked it on my phone but it still rings and registers as missed call.
So far they've called at 8:35, 9:41 and 9:45
I've left 2 messages to take me off the "list" but am still getting calls. VERY ANNOYING

They were calling me up to 3 times a day...I am legally blind.....I now was forced to add the "message center" answering service to my adapted phone line..They just would not take no for an answer...It has taken up much of my time and patience...

So far, that's the best reasoning I've seen as to why they keep that up.  Can you come up with a better reason for them to keep calling, and then to hang up when someone answers?  If they  were trying to sell something over the phone, you'd think they'd stay on the line long enough to make their sales pitch.  You say they're trying to call your computer-why else would they keep doing that?

They call everyday between roughly 10 and 2, no message.  When I answer, I get a dial tone.  I've left messages, but they never call back.  Best explanation I've seen so far on here is that they're fishing for computers so they can accumulate e-mail addresses.  My suggestion: contact the Mass. Attorney General's office.  That's what I'm going to do tomorrow; if enough of us do that, perhaps something will get done.  Otherwise, I don't think our complaints to the telemarketer or the Globe will make them stop.  Note; the Globe is a poisonous paper, and I fervently hope they go out of business.  The nation would be better informed WITHOUT papers like the Globe or the Times, and I think people are figuring that out for themselves, which is why they can't sell papers.

I called back and left a message for Turnkey Solutions to remove my number from their list. It didn't happen. I still get one or more calls a day. If I'm near the phone, I press the answer and off button.

When I call 1-888-694-5623, I get an automated message giving me 5 options, the last one being Boston.com.  When I select Boston.com, I get put on hold.  What option did you select?

I received this solicitation call for the Wayland Town Crier.  The caller was based in Arizona, and it seemed strange to me that they'd be selling our local weekly.  Since they had no way of proving to me who they were and wanted financial information over the phone, I told them I was uncomfortable and would subscribe online myself.  The "manager" seemed anxious and become a little argumentative.  I remain unconvinced that they are who they say they are.

Said they were from a newspaper and were going to give me a free trial. Then, in the next sentance said they would start delivery and charge me. Turned them down, obviously. They then wanted my address. I promptly said, no and hung up on them.

Calls are recieved several times per day with no one on the line.
