- Ron V replies to BrianIt really makes no sense for us, because we already have AT&T.
- LanaIf you call ATT Customer Service 1-800-288-2020 they can put your name and number on the do not call list. It should be effective in 30 days

- MaeAT&T. Sales pitch. We have them for our phone. May have been for Internet service which I have from another provider and am happy with. I didn't even wait for the sales pitch, I just hung up
- Caller: AT&T

- Don'tBeFooledThese [***] are not from AT&T. They are scam telemarketers trying to get your credit card info so they can wipe out your bank account! I pretended I was interested just long enough to keep the a**hole on the phone while I got my rape whistle --- which I promptly blew into his ear!! Doubt he will be calling back again.

- MaeATT again. I decided to amswer this time. Maybe they'll stop calling if I say no thank you. I say hello. No response for a few seconds. Finally, I tired sounding voice said this is Jesse (female). Wanted to know if we had Internet service. I said we have an Internet provider and won't be changing. Thank you and I hung up.

- MaeAT&T again. They've been calling everyday. Wanted to know if we made long distance calls. Told him we rarely make them and primarily use our cell phones when we do. Wanted to know who our ISP was. We use a local company and I'm happy with their service. Won't be changing providers. Asked him to put us on their don't call list. They've been calling everyday. Verified our phone number to put in the request. . He said it would take 30 days and would be good for 5 years. We'll see.

- MaeDon't know what number this call came from, CID said Private Caller. I had no number to enter so I went back to my recent calls so I could make a report. No message was left. Called @ 5:54 pm EST. Probably a scam.
- Caller: Private Caller
- TJ in TexasAfter blocking their 28 calls (including today) since May 28 from 989-220-3853, they have switched numbers. Blocked this one too.

- Senior CitizenRepeated calls to our home phone, twice or three times a day. They refuse to stop calling, even after emphatic rejections ("What part of BITE ME do you not understand?") Claim to be AT&T, probably paid telemarketers doing high pressure sales. As these originate as robo-calls, call block seems to work temporarily, until they originate calls from another number.
- Caller: ATT (posing as AT&T)
- Call type: Telemarketer
- JimCalls from this number 2 or 3 times a day. Don't answer. The one time I did answer they didn't say anything and then hung up.
- Caller: ATT
- Dan| 2 repliesID = ATT. multiple times from various numbers.
Even though these calls unlikely to be from ATT, unless mega company ATT does not step up to protect customers from this big annoyance, we'll drop their service and go with another.- Caller: ATT ??? ATT should prosecute.

- Steve Stone replies to DanCall the REAL AT&T from the number printed on your local phone book--and inquire if they ask people for their SSN for identification or security purposes; if answer is "no"--ask they warn people from their OFFICIAL website of these scammers pretending they're AT&T!!
I'm always of the opinion that IF callers are legit, they leave voicemail messages; otherwise, they're frauds.
This particular number appears to be one of three these scam team(s) use; one is "live" and the other two are "data miners", that dial numbers 24/7--marking any that pick up.
Do take note: The Do Not Call ( DNC ) Registry only applies to U.S. sourced numbers--and excludes political, non-profit charities and legitimate business entities ( unless you ask they don't either in writing or verbally ). All of scam telemarketing calls come from OUTSIDE the U.S.--some from countries hostile towards the U.S.; I'd think THAT would be a heightened concern for Homeland Security. - Bruce619-798-9835(read AT&T...but not). Possibly connected to 657-202-6637(Unknown name of course). AT&T would never ask for SSN or credit card info!!! These are scammers. Per AT&T employees (friends) the company would use 800 or 866 area codes, not city/other area codes. These scammers use different area phone #'s/area codes from all over.
You can always call AT&T & check the calling number out. Sounds like the same type of scamming using the Microsoft company name, trying to get your information because "your computer has a virus" !!! Shoot them.- Call type: Telemarketer
- JLTThese robo calls have shown up at my home. I appreciate everyone who has posted to date about this - you save me time and irritation. I have fantasized getting a loud whistle and blowing into the phone and hanging up... May do this some day. I also agree with an earlier post about how useless the Do Not Call web page seems to be. When I have had collection bureaus call me - at least they indicated that they rent the lists and make calls. By law they are required to remove my name but it takes awhile for my number to stop appearing on their rented lists.

- art| 1 replykept getting calls at my deceased brothers house. Finally told them the person they're calling died 2 weeks ago. Calls stopped for 5 days, then started up again. What part of dead don't they understand?
