several calls over last few weeks

Its robo-calling.They're not idiots, and the person you talk to isn't going to remove your number!
So get as rude as you want THEY DON'T CARE. They get paid by the number of connected calls, not sales - that becomes a commission if you buy.
Make the small investment to get call blocking on your phone.  Well worth it.

They really are not idiots, in fact they get paid extra for every post made here, perhaps we should stop posting, and they will stop calling.

Very similar to my experience just now. I'm a renter, not a homeowner, but when I told the caller that & asked him politely to put remove me from his call list (still waiting for the national Do Not Call registry to kick in for our new number), he kept arguing with me, so I kept saying it louder, then he would get louder, etc., talking over me. Apparently they think that if they talk over you, they can claim they can't hear you tell them to take them off their call list. Eventually, I had enough & screamed to take me off the list, "G-D it," then hung up. Fortunately, my phone has a way to block numbers, so they're a new addition.

Just got a call from this number, actually 3 times today. Looks like this Clifito fool is part of the scam. I never answer phone. Voicemail everyone, ringer off.

It's a scam.  Your local utility company will send you the programs or Obama will spend Federal Money to advertise it.  No one calls on the phone with these regulated programs by FERC and they are all federally funded.

This number has called me 4 times since noon yesterday-no message left.  I am on DNC list but seems like it doesn't make much difference.

Calling 4 times in any 24 hour period is excessive.   I want to block this number PERIOD.

I have told these people at least once a week, sometimes twice in one day, over the past few months, that I am not interested PLEASE take me off your list, and PLEASE stop calling me. What part of this is it that they don't understand?

Perhaps we should encourage the government to change the way we pay our telephone bills,  by a nominal fee for having a phone, but charging all solicitation businesses or organizations to pay by the call for each and every call they make, one. I am sure if the phone companies got a quarter for every call they make whether it is answered or not, you would begin to see a difference, this would have to apply to not only solicitors, but all agencies who make calls, except police and fire departments and perhaps a few other medical or personal businesses.  I hate paying for a telephone to get one or two calls a day from friends or personal business calls, but getting from 4 to 10 calls a day to solicit something whether it is my vote, or my money!  I also think that it would help the post office if they charged a higher rate to send advertising.  I get a pound a month of junk mail.  Furthermore, they now call cellular phone numbers too and on some rate plans you pay for these junk calls.

Arizonans:  Report these calls to the Attorney General.  Keep a list of dates, times and numbers.  You will be asked for 3.  And the AG WILL go after them.

My husband suggests you make an appointment for Feb. 29, 2040 saying the technology should be perfected by then.

Told them to remove me from their call list the first time they called.  Uses the name "Go Green Energy" and talk uninterruptable.  If this continues, I plan to file a police report for harassment citing AZ Rev. Statutes 13-2916 and 13-2921 which probably applies to this continuous harassment.  

Calls every day, rings 3 times.  No-one there if I pick up

Get constant calls from 623-282-2543.  I don't answer the phone anymore but each and every one is recorded on my caller ID.  These are scam calls at all times of the day.  They need to be stopped!

Information from two different 'reverse look-up' web sites is that this is an invalid number.
By the way, thank you all that have found out who the jerk is that calls.  And my wife is calling COX to find out why they're selling our number to telemarketers.
