Called today with 2nd and Last Chance Message. Pressed 1, spoke with rep, but he would not provide any company information other than calling them selves "Card Member Services".

I just got a call that  my caller ID identified was from 256-1990. I live in the 630 area code so I assume it is called from within the 630 area.  
I answered it to tell them to put me on your do not call list. The recorded message said something like this " This is your second and last notice to lower your interest rates, act now by pushing 1 on your telephone dial". I did and a man answered and asked if I was calling about lowering my interest rates and I said I was interested in the call and what is the name of the his company. He responded with a question to me asking how much do I owe? I replied that actually I wanted to tell your company to put me on your DO NOT CALL list. His response was "S..K my big D..K. I said pardon me but what did you say and he again used his profane 4 words. I said- just take off your call list and don't call again.

We have received many calls from this number usually have chosen not to answer. I did one other time answer it and a woman answered and I told her to put me on their "Do not call list". She hung up.

I imagine that they are hoping to get some personal information in which they can use to enrich themselves.

Just received call from Cell Phone IL and did not answer. Do you suppose the phone companies need to get fined for selling rotating phone #s? I wonder if those lucative unidentifiable fees we pay each month are to cover the breaks that marketeers get from phone companies. The Do Not Call Registry is starting to look like a hoax. What a waste of money by these financial institutions.

Just received about the 20th call.  They won't quit calling!

I am an invalid and takes me a long time to get to the phone.   Quit bothering me.

I just played along and went through the sales pitch about how they could lower my interest rate with a new credit card from Capital One.  They then asked for my current credit card number and code so they could transfer the remaining balance to the new card and that's when I hung up on them.

If politicians really want to do something beneficial for the public that they serve, they would pass some strong legislation with serious punitive damages to end these spam calls and all marketing calls period.

Here is how you stop any unwanted calls.......Lift receiver....wait for dial tone....press *60.  Listen to menu of options......enter any number you don't want calls from.....you can use this for up to 12 numbers. I believe you need to have comcast as a phone provider. ....(No I do not work for comcast)

Got the same calls as everyone else.  Won't answer any number I don't recognize.  Thanks to other posts...I now know it's a telemarketer for sure.

Repeated calls from this number; never leave a message. I'm sure it's another one of those "reduce your credit card interest rates" calls.....I get at least 7-8 of them a week, all from different numbers but with the same recorded message. I  thought it was illegal to remote-dial with recorded messages. I"ve been on the DNC list  since it began, and yet these calls keep coming.

They have been calling my number for a while now.  Today I decided to answer and received the same message as everyone else about lowering my credit card interest rate.  I pressed 1, a guy came on the line and asked me about lowering my interest rate.  Instead of answering his question, I asked what credit card company he was with. Of course, I received the much anticipated hang-up.  Obviously a scam.

I ignore this number because I also don't answer unfamiliar numbers.  My husband answers when they call in the evening because he considers it a challenge to annoy these people.  When he tried to talk to them it was something about last chance to reduce your credit rate so he just hung up.  Very irritating.

just another call from someone wanting to lower my credit card rate.I dont have one.Same call from diffrent numbers,sometimes 2 to 3 times a day.I am on the do not call list but it dosent help.

Everytime, I push "1" and ask them to remove me from the list.
I do not have or use credit cards and am totally annoyed and frustrated with these calls.  They are also calling my cell phone which costs me money!
