I was told it was a call to lower my interest rate. The man asked for my card number and my social security number. Please stop them before they fool elders and others looking for a way out.

i have got a call from an indian man saying he was from microsoft i asked for his microsoft employee information he said he could not give me that information because he privacy? LOL are u serious, he was trying to gain acess via remote on my laptop, most likely to collect sensitive information such as social insurance number mothers maiden name etc, so they can sell it, the number they call from is a number used by a bunch of these scams where they try to collect your nfo., there is no real problem or need to be telling them anything u did not get a grant or hve been accepted for a loan its al a scam, this number is used when persons block there id and replace it with a known un used number, when these people call act like ur going to play along and give them false info then after couple minutes tell them you know exackly what theyre doing and that the call is being traced watch how fast they hang up.

I got a call from myself one day.  At least that's what the caller ID said.  At any rate, I did not answer.

Called me, no answer, called them, number not assigned.

Got a call from this number so they are still calling from this number.It is added to my phone as SPAM.It is reported . I don't answer if I don't know the number.

This person said he was ADT...told him I had requested to be on" do not call list". Told him not to call back, he stated he would. Asked to speak to supervisor, he said no..,hung up and reporting it.  The number was 630- 318 - 4762

Woo hooo!! $9000 in federal grant money with no repayment .... yeah, right.

The jerks are scammers and were promptly added to my 'auto-reject' list.

First question: IF you did not recognize the number then why did you answer the phone?   When you do all you have done is to confirm for them that your number is a viable, working number and they WILL  continue to call you, plus sell your number to other scumbags.   Thought for the day:  What IF NO ONE answered their calls?  Would they finally have to give up and go out of business?   Hope so.  PS/ our government's DO NOT CALL list is a joke too.  It works no better than our government does.

By using this method I now receive maybe, at the most, 2 of these calls daily, some days I go with none at all.    Try it, do NOT answer your phone unless you recognize the number.

Unfortunately, collection agencies and calls related to a political campaign are NOT restricted by the Do Not Call Registry. Just an fyi. I simply instruct them to send me their claim in writing and then I demand proof of debt. Without the evidence that you owe them a penny, you are guaranteed to win in court. But.....do NOT ignore anything from the courts should it go that far because they will win a default judgment against you.

When I called back do to missing this call it said the number was not assigned yet. How do I stop this type of call?

Called today at 3:09 PM EST.  I did not answer, nor did they leave a message.  Definitely a scam even debt collection leaves some form of message.  I agree with the not answering concept.  I have done that for years and hardly ever get scam calls

I got a similar call from my name and home number - I also didn't answer and didn't know where to even file a complaint, phone coy, police, who?

Again, no answer.  Just silence.

My husband just got a call from this number 630-318-4762 left a message that they were a unit of the IRS and for us to call or have our attorney call 206-201-2400 if we didn't call the  message said good luck to you in this matter
