- cardholderThis # called claiming that I qualified to reduce my interest rates on my credit cards to less than 9%. He then proceeded try to find out the type of card I carried and even asked me to verify by giving out my card number and expiration date. Do not fall for this scam! When I hung up, I got called by the same person from numbers 612-752-0371 and 612.751-2125.

A popup froze my computer, and showed numbers like 1-844-329-3195, 1-888-537-4092....., and asked me to call. When I made a phone call, a person with strong accent called back immediately with the number 630-318-4762. I told him I hate them for their criminal activities. After I yelled to him for a while, he hang up.- Caller: a criminal to make computer virus

If you have done business with a company they can call you. The big one is to let you know that they are not trying to sell you anything. They just want you to answer a few questions for a survey.

Other posters have indicated this is a Debt Collection, specifically NCO. They are known problem child with many lawsuits against them.

***A company must be licensed in their state as well as the one they are trying to collect in if two different states are involved.
Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.
