I got the same call and yes it is a scam...

I have a service site on criglist and got a call from matt, thinking it was someone who wanted my companies service I called and spoke to some female who wanted to charge me 99 bucks for a back ground check.. This is a scam.. I reported this to the local Police and a complaint to the FBI. these people really need to be busted for wasting peoples time with this crap.

Add me to the list and I am not a contractor, rather an insurance agent!  So beware.  Same company, Viotech, same name - Matt. Same drill.

I also got the call from Matt with Viotech Costruction (630-405-5012). I didn't answer but the message said to press 1 if I'm available to talk now or call him back at the same number. Called back but they were closed so I left a message with them. Found it odd that their answering machine doesn't say the name of their company. A lady by the name of Sam returned my call (I didn't answer) and left me a message to call her back at 888-227-5716 ext.7006 about cleaning services for several properties. When I talked with her she said she was with Commercial Crews and they had several bank owned properties from foreclosure. The banks would pay me directly, they had about 6 months worth of work for me, I would get paid every 2 weeks as an independant contractor. Funny part is she asked if that would be okay, if I was familiar with that. I laughed and was like I own my business so YES I understand all of that...stupid! Anyways at the end of the spill talking that they could use me to clean these homes I would need to pay a $99 background check fee. Come on, if the banks wanted me like that they would pay for the background check. Plus what about my employees, would I have to pay $99 for each of them. Besides they can't even get the name of their company right. First Matt tells me its Viotech Construction then Sam tells me its Commercial Crews so which is it you scammers.

I just googled Commercial Crews and found this website - www.commercialcrews.com - the site does not look very good and isn't very informative which makes it seem even more like a scam. So BEWARE!!

Same call but from different number (315) 218-0556. Callers name was Kim with Comm Crews. $99 background check because the banks are FDIC insured. They would supply all of the parts and will pay every 2 weeks, which seems odd since I am an electrician and it would be rather hard for someone to supply all the materials needed. She also said I could do as many jobs as i wanted to scedule.

I think i'll keep my 100 bucks and call that a profit.

also beware of tradespro.com crewmembers.com and leadssomething they are ALL CONNEECTED- they tell you they have bank foreclosure work and take 99.00 for a BACKGROUND CHECK- once they got your money they NEVER ANSWER PHONE you can't even log in to the site- THEY ARE SCAMS BEWARE

thank goodness I checked online before calling "Matt" back.  I wont even waste my time now.  This 630-405-5012 came with a message saying he had work in my area.  Fortunately, I do not need his work.

received a call on my mobile number, message was broken up but it was about a job and that anyone at that number could assist me with the information....

Matt said to be from Viatech Construction offering jobs at many of his properties in the area. Said to call back and press 1 at 630-405-5012

Google search shows same guy calling from same numbers using different company names but giving same dialog on message.

Clearly some kind of scam.

I got the same call from this company and everything that other people are saying they said the same thing to me.Beware of this company I also believe they are a Scam!

I also received the same call from matt Claiming he worked for "Vio-Constuction' and that he had some work for me in my area... Obviously a scam when it the same man calling and his company name has changed according to all the post ive read.

Yeah, they called me using the name vitech construction. Said they had lots of properties in my area that needed my landscaping/snow removing services.

I came in to the office this morning with a message from "Matt" with Viotech Construction.  He left the exact same message on my machine, after I had posted two craigslist ads for help wanted yesterday.  I am going to report them to craigslist.  He said the girls in the office would help me out if he didn't answer.

I got the same call and tried it now i got to call my credit card co and try to have it taken off

They are now using the name Construction Crews or Construction Place,  their website is now www.constructioncrews.net.  A guy named Dave or David left me a message with the same pattern you all are mentioning here. They mentioned work needed done for Bankrupt foreclosure properties by banks with 6 months job work available. I got suspicious  when they ask for $99 background check to be qualified. I told them I will check first and they gave me the same number some of you mentioned here.
