This is a scam, not legitimate. They buy data on you, probably illegally, and use it to get more information toward identity fraud.  I've received 28 calls (autodialed) over the past three days. A legitimate company will obey the law regarding calling hours. A legitimate company will communicate by regular USPS mail (postal laws regarding mail fraud are better enforced than contact by email and by phone. A legitimate company will not use a number that is reported as "not in service" when you try to return their call.

They've called twice today. First time I didn't answer and they left no message. Second time I answered in Spanish and after a long pause, a male voice (Indian accent)  came on and asked for my husband. I just said "no ingles" and he apologized for bothering me. Next time I'll answer in Japanese or Swahili or anything but Tamil or English. Maybe they'll stop bothering us.

Have rec'd a number of these calls a couple times a day lately. We do not answer & let it go to machine. They never leave message. Pretty soon they are going to get the message no one is going to answer. Have been advised not to bother answering & request name be taken off. Then they know it's a live working number.

Caller stating he's from an investment company. Has my address and name. THIS IS A SCAM, do NOT give them any information at all. I just keep saying they have wrong number and to F off.

This number called me today at 11:00 a.m.  I never pick-up calls from numbers that I don't recognize, so it rolled over to voice mail.  They did not leave a message.  They'll now be added to my call blocking list.

Called three times and ask to confirm my name. Ask if I wanted to vote for the board members of one of my investments. (I could hardly.understand her.)Told her that would be ok. She said I would recieve a confirmation in the mail in a few days. I made a big mistake talking to her. May the Lord deal with her if this is a scam!

Left no message and number not in service when called back.  Looks like scammers using this number again.  What's the point of the Do Not Call list?  Worthless!!!

I've been coming home for a couple of years now to several "messages" a day on my answering machine with the same pattern.  I've just been deleting.  Today I decided to work from home and they've called a couple of times.  When I call back, the number is not in service.  Finally just called my phone company and they've added the number to my blocked list.  It took me a couple of years to get fed up (plus I've always been hoping to find out what it's all about) but I just lost my patience finally and banned them from my phone.

Thank you for this tip.  Blocked!  They have called me 3-4 times a day for the past week.  Never answered, but now blocked.  Thanks again.

Thanks very much for the input everyone here.  And thank you for showing me how to block the 646 calls.  I want to also let you guys know that I also received calls from Virginia at 703-348-6523.  I never picked it up.

Judging from the location, it seems like all these calls from the east coast are routed through fake numbers.  What ever the case, don't answer any calls that look suspicious or no one you know from that area.

I answered today and it was a legitimate call soliciting my votes for a coming shareholders' meeting for a mutual fund in which I own shares.  I had previously received an email from the fund's management.  I have received such calls in the past, and my observation is that they seem to come regarding smaller funds; i.e. those that do not have a large client base.  From reading some comments below, I gather that the calling company sells its services to a variety of finance-related companies.

Continue to call me at all hours of the day. They call and wake my 4 month old baby and they are posing as investment brokers, a complete scam. Scammers !!!

If it helps, this company is legit but they should be contacting your 401K or investment account holder. Refer them to your broker. It is about voting on matters related to something we all have our retirement funds invested in. Well intended but a very uncommon approach to doing business.

Calls every day, never leaves msg, we dont pickup

Receive calls on my cell phone from this number several times a day for the last 3-4 weeks .  Really ... WTH???   Quite annoyed with this inconvenience.  I know better than to answer  it ..........
Anything I can do to get it to stop?

Seems that they are soliciting proxy vote. I blocked the number anyway on the smart phone

My number is on the Do Not Call Registry (local and national) and they are still calling me

Have been receiving calls for over 6 weeks, several times a day.   I have attempted to call the number out of curiousity.
It states that it's a non working number.   I receive the calls early in AM, afternoon and in the evening.   It's very annoying.
I am on the DNC list.

I'm getting three calls a day from these scammers. I have the call blocked but they still keep calling for months.
Why can't we avoid companies Like this?

Actually, this is a good number to answer. I answered, someone was basically asking if I wanted to buy some hot stocks. Well, of course I want to buy hot stocks. Luckily I have a lot of life savings, and so I used all of my life savings to buy the stocks. Well that was a few months ago. Today, I just sold all those stocks and now I am a multimillionaire! Woohoo! So yes, the number is a good number and if you want to be rich like me, definitely answer it and buy their stuff.
