"Intimidating call" from an unknown caller.

These people called my daughter she is only 19 how the hell are they getting this info, I think its a bank breech or phone company breech.

This is (one of many) criminal extortion scams that have been going on for years. Many are operating overseas and out of the reach of US law enforcement, while others are operating within the confines of prison cells here in the US, using contraband cell phones. Others are using VOIP. Either way, they are able to disguise their identities and locations, making them next to impossible to prosecute. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting victims' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

My experience was the same thing!!! Couldn't give me my address suing for 5000 some odd dollars wanted my attorneys info had last four of my social said I was being summoned for money laundering check fraud etc....from some sort of cash advance which for the record never used that sort of deal in my life!!! Was actually concerned at first hope I didn't screw up by giving them my phone number!!!!

I got a call from them don't remember first persons name but they said I'm being sued for over $5,000 and court is tomorrow. When I asked what it was regarding they said a bunch of incoherent crap and then something about payday advances and car loans. Never used a car loan or a payday advance. They had a "lawyer" call me when I told them that mother mother-in-law said they were full of crap she told me that I'd have to deal w the consequences then. Sounds like crap because they said I was notified thru email... If I was being sued I would have been served and more then 24hrs in advance

Same as all others.Claims my attorney cannot help me.Could not understand first person.Someone else came on the line,still difficult to understand. Claims that I owe the government money and that tomorrow all info will be sent to the local courthouse. When I  requested that  they email  me again, was told it was too late.Clearly  a scam. I  hope that  nobody pays this scammed any money

Got a call from this number twice in one day, they left message telling me to not disregard the call and call them back. If I did not return the call they said "All I can say is good luck". The caller sounded forign, did not speak very good English!

Just called me for a second time, but this time I answered. They told me I was being sued for a debt that was owed and was not payed. They asked me why I didn't pay.... Then when I proceeded to tell them that I did not take out any payday loans they try to over talk me, and told me that I should have received a subpoena or summons by email.... Wtf are you serious??!!! Lol they even went to the extreme in asking me how often do I check my emails lol... At first I was very scared, but I decided to google the number to see what came up.  And all I can say whoa !!!!! Imagine if I had of just paid them.. I would've been scammed.

same type of call stating I owe $$ and I am being sued and better get a good attorney. or else they are going to lock me up. As soon as I advised that I was recording this call, that it was illegal to leave threatening messages and threats of incarceration, and they were harassing me, I would be contacting an attorney to sue them, they hung up on me.

Been receiveing calls from this number, I don't answer non local numbers I don't know, I had a message from a man with a Indian accent saying if I or my attorney does not call back to be prepared for what is next and good luck to me, I know that this is a scam and blocked this number. don't awnser or call back.

Some guy left a message (no name)  and indicated that if I didn't call them back or my attorney didn't call them back then I would have to deal with the consequences.  Came to this site to see what others have said -- seems to me to be a spam call

I have been receiving threatening phone calls/voice mails from same number ALL week. He calls 5-6 times a day ALL day long. I do not answer as it is not a familiar area code to me. I check the voice mails and laugh with my husband. My mother is an attorney and I do not have ANY bills in delinquency. Guy doesn't leave name, it's a recorded message which my voice mail service only records the last 4 digits of number before the guy's recording repeats itself, and states if I do not call back or have my attorney call he cannot help what "unfolds on me with this issue". FIRST OF ALL if someone is suing you for money you will receive WRITTEN notification from the LOCAL courts, not some foreign [***] with an out of state number calling you. SECOND OF ALL I will be reporting this number to the BBB and the Federal Attorney General. I ask that anyone who receives phone calls like this to do the same. We can only take these people down by continuously complaining and making reports about it.

I received a threatening call today.  I've had so many of these scam calls in the past from other numbers, I listen and laugh but I'm so tired of getting these calls.  I wish something could be done about them.

sM as everyone else left message on an swering machine  saying ro call this #646-205-6657 have my attorney call them or i was going to be put in jail or whatever good luck this guy whose been calling says his name is kevin had 6 calls today but did not answer any of them

this 646-205-6657 has called me 10 times so tired having the phone ring i do not answer 800 # I DID OBCE AND SAID HIS NAME WAS KEVIN AND IF I DIDNT CALL THEM ALL HE COULD A WAS GOOD LUCK

Got 6 voicemails from this number withing 3 hours.  In his foreign accent he said his name was Kevin Smith...yeah I'm sure...just said that if he did not hear back from my attorney then all he could do was wish me the best of luck...

Received several calls that I didn't answer. They left 3 vm with American name but foreign accent so I ignored. They called again it was sooo loud that you could tell it was a call center. I spoke with some man again (American name foreign accent) that wouldn't tell me who the company was. I got him so mad he started yelling at me (good!) so I told him to send me the papers.
We know what I'm going to receive NOTHING!
